New Names of Forwards from the Kansas City Clash

Prep Girls Hoops Missouri takes a look at some new names of forwards/posts who caught our attention while watching the action at the Kansas City Clash this weekend.    I was very impressed with this 6'0" 2026 forward in the two games that I watched her play. She has good length and athleticism and her quick jump on the offensive boards was excellent. She is very mobile and she scored on multiple rim runs throughout the weekend. In the halfcourt, she was also very effective when she caught the ball on the left block, where she scored on the short jumper off the glass.     A 5'11" 2027 forward who has an impressive offensive skill set with good fundamentals. She was very effective from the high post as she could wheel on the drive into the lane or hit the 15 footer off the catch. She was also stretching the floor from 3-point range. She hit one triple while in transition, which was very nice. She can also handle and pass the ball effectively     A 5'8" 2026 power forward who is physically strong and she uses that strength to get good position inside. She has a nice drop step in the post and she can also hit the 15 footer from the high post. She had some good second and third efforts on the offensive boards for putbacks.     A 5'10" 2028 forward who is a very solid young player. She is a good positional player with her physical strength. She is a very good screener who catches the ball well on the roll down and can finish with a nice touch. She can also make her free throws.     A 5'9" 2027 forward who is a high energy player who was always on the attack when she had the ball in her hands. She was a good finisher in the lane on her drives. She was also an active rebounder at both ends of the court. She was just as active on the defensive end as she had deflections and steals.     A 6'0" 2028 forward who was playing up a year with the 16U team and she held her own. She handles the ball well for her size. She would grab the rebound and push the ball on the break, give it up and run directly to the low post to get position for a touch. I liked that. We will be definitely following her progression.     A 5'11" 2027 forward who plays a solid meat and potatoes game in the paint that is very effective. She is tough to move when she anchors herself inside with good rebounding position. She keeps the ball up and will finish off the glass. She also uses her length and some good timing to block a few shots in the paint.
