I hate many of the old sayings, like "the good thing about freshmen is they become sophomores" but to be real, no matter what class you're in, you should be getting better, in fact some freshmen enter high school and are one of the top players on their team, but like so many things, people hear it and repeat it without thinking so I have a mixture of middle-school and first year high school players with some impressive upside

Ruiz is heady, plays under control, and makes good decisions, but she also utilizes her athleticism well on both ends and plays solid defense, and can attack the basket effectively. She also created her shot and showed the "stop and pop" in transition

Ratcliff impressed @playerrimedies last season, and I got a glimpse of her abilities a few weeks ago; see evaluations here. The numerous ways she can score from outside will transition well when she enters high school. Since the midrange is a lost art, I love seeing players utilize it. She played the passing lane and picked some pockets, but her acrobatic finishes were very nice

Ratcliff, yes, they're twins, also impressed @playerrimedies before I saw them, see evaluations here, and seeing her explode by defenders in transition with the ball and staying under control is going to be a problem to deal with in high school, but so is her reading the floor and coming from out of nowhere to play the passing lane. I also enjoyed seeing her spin off the dribble to score, she does it smoothly and instinctively

Monagahan is "long and athletic" and is also just shy of "the magic number" so seeing her "hands and footwork" get her baskets over and over, I'm thinking what else?
Pace is working on that NIL deal for the picante sauce because her upside is HOT and SPICY, yet even though she can do things MILD in the flow, seeing how strong she is, as well as her going AFTA rebounds was one thing, but handling the ball the length of the floor to score was another. She was playing up, and her UPSIDE is scary. She gave the "hands and footwork" to score, she played the passing lane, and her interior defense looked good
