This weekend I had the task of evaluating our PGH Midwest Extravaganza. This weekend was jam packed with action from the 12U level all the way to the 17U level, competing on multiple courts in the Chicagoland area.

Throughout the day I have been taking live-notes on prospects and really diving into what makes each of those players tick. In this article we go-over some of those notes.

Thanks for tuning in and enjoy!

#1 - [player_tooltip player_id='514946' first='Shania' last='James'] - 2026 - [program_tooltip program_id='834910' first='Example' last='Sports'] 2026 Wolfpack

"Always a pleasure to be in the same gym as [player_tooltip player_id='514946' first='Shania' last='James']. James came off the bench this weekend and killed it. She came in and hit two corner three's right off the jump. From there, she kept everything in check by creating, finding, and assisting the others within her team's offense and within transition. Defensively, her natural instincts stuck out per usual. She was jumping toward the ball at high rate and creating chaos into turnovers whenever she could. [program_tooltip program_id='712375' first='All' last='in'] all, great weekend for James and Example as a whole."

#10 - Khiana Tyler - 2025 - AR Elite 17U - Gold 3SSB

"Lefty with a nice stroke from deep. Willing to get to the bucket for a finish through contact at a consistent rate. Can pass off the dribble or she can shoot it herself if she has enough space. Does a great job with the natural abilities she is given. Always in the play or the action on either side of the ball. No matter what might be happening in that play."

#15 - [player_tooltip player_id='874490' first='Payton' last='Wilhite'] - 2026 - [program_tooltip program_id='716115' first='Illinois' last='Evolution'] 17U

"A respectable athlete that stands-out in simple ways on both sides of the ball. She understands how to move into space well from the back side on defense, while not needing the b[program_tooltip program_id='712375' first='All' last='in'] her possession for a super long time to produce offensively. Wilhite also possesses good awareness and coordination in most situations of the game. Two things need to be able to be a hooper at the next level."

#44 - [player_tooltip player_id='874655' first='Keyera' last='Gamble'] - 2028 - Chicago Hoop Express 2028

"[player_tooltip player_id='874655' first='Keyera' last='Gamble'] has great size and skill for her age. She has a soft touch, adaptability, and physicality. Those three things are lethal when you pair them along with her natural height at 6'2. Offensively, Gamble is a threat on offense in both the half and full courts. She can work with her back to the basket but she also proved this weekend that she can run the lane lines in transition for an attempt on the run. Gamble was star the past few days and I can't wait to see how she builds on that at Trinity High School in June."

#2 - [player_tooltip player_id='875100' first='Kazaria' last='Smith'] - 2026 - AR Elite 17U - Gold 3SSB

"I have no idea who has offered Smith so far but she is so fun to watch. Smith has a really nice dribble under pressure, she is a three level scoring threat off the dribble and she is almost impossible to stop once she gets downhill on the attack. Defensively, she gets into you and she isn't afraid to get physical. She wants to scrap with active hands and that helps her eat on defense. Things you love to see from an outside perspective."
