A number of teams from the southeast (many from Georgia) converged on metro-Atlanta this past weekend to take part in this year's Peach Games – a signature regional event of the Prep Girls Hoops Circuit.

With this year's version in the books, this means that two of the three Triumph Region events that are on the Circuit are now in the books. The lone Triumph Region event remaining is the Finals which will happen later this month – also in Georgia with the scene shifting to Columbus.

There was a litany of talent across the board that was on hand in the Atlanta suburbs and a great bit of it was from the 15U ranks. We unveiled our 15U First Team a bit earlier and now move onto the 15U Second Team for this past weekend's Peach Games.

With [program_tooltip program_id='713173' first='Wood' last='Elite'] Howren 15U being one of the two 15U assemblings that finished the weekend with an unblemished 4-0 mark, it is more than deserving of having three on the All-Showcase teams. That untarnished mark was preserved on Sunday in large part by Howren who concluded her team's contest with a tough LOB Elite 2028 team with a 16-point performance. Included in that effort were a pair of 3-pointers – two of the four triples her team made in that game. The Mount Paran Christian standout was simply making plays on both ends of the floor left and right that had opponents shaking their heads.

Academy for Classical Education has representation on both our 15U First and Second Teams. The first game [program_tooltip program_id='713618' first='Macon' last='Mystics'] 2028 played this past weekend which was against Lady USC 15U was an indication this would be one of the teams to beat. When a team has a standout like Stanley who put up 13 points in that 65-29 rout of the South Carolina team, said winning team will be a tough out for any foe. Stanley displayed toughness and a willingness to draw plenty of contact to find her way to the free throw line. Five of her 13 in that contest were by way of the charity stripe. [program_tooltip program_id='713618' first='Macon' last='Mystics'] 2028 was the other team that finished the weekend 4-0.

The [program_tooltip program_id='713173' first='Wood' last='Elite'] organization all around had a successful Peach Games weekend – and that includes the [program_tooltip program_id='713173' first='Wood' last='Elite'] E40 15U team. Garcia is part of said roster and she helped her squad get in the win column more often than not. One of the games played was against Mississippi-based The SisterHood Lady Lions 15U Grim E40. Garcia's team routed its opponent but she tallied 10 points in what was a very balanced scoring attack. She may be 5-foot-7 and primarily plays in the backcourt but she can help a team's bigs bolster their rebounding efforts. Opposing teams also have to watch out for her on defense – Garcia had six steals in that contest with The SisterHood Lady Lions 15U Grim E40.

We move from [program_tooltip program_id='713173' first='Wood' last='Elite'] to a Woods that personified elite. Team XYZ Golden Eagles 15U was another one of the teams that finished 3-1 this past weekend. It has the play of this standout from 4A Maynard Jackson in large part to credit for those victories. Woods is a consistent playmaker on both ends of the floor. Make an errant pass around her and it is going the other way for an additional offensive possession for Woods' team. Woods compiled 18 points in one of the games of the weekend – a 57-53 victory for Team XYZ Golden Eagles 15U over LOB Elite 2028. She also added 11 points to her team's efforts in a win over [program_tooltip program_id='713452' first='FBC' last=''] Dynasty 15U.

A strong case can be made that [program_tooltip program_id='715404' first='North' last='Metro Elite'] 15U was the best of the teams that concluded the weekend with a 3-1 record. Smith's winning play paid dividends left and right for her team. Another notable name from Mount Paran Christian, it appeared that Smith was coming through with clutch baskets left and right. Smith is a gifted 3-point shooter that can throw defenses off balance with her ability to slice through defenses and finish strong at the cup. Smith can get creative with how she does finish at the rim at times and can play either of the guard spots in the backcourt. She is a two-sport athlete who also excels in lacrosse.
