With the month of May underway, roughly a month into this year's AAU season has been completed. That includes the always-competitive Prep Girls Hoops Circuit which staged four events around the country this past weekend.

One of those gatherings was metro-Atlanta's Peach Games which has become a signature event in the southeast for the Circuit. This year's version utilized several venues northwest of downtown Atlanta.

Among the standouts that certainly impressed this past weekend were among the 15U field. The first day saw plenty of noteworthy performances from 2028 teams. The second day had a tough act to follow – but it did not disappoint.

[program_tooltip program_id='713173' first='Wood' last='Elite'] teams had a successful weekend at Marietta HS. One of those being the [program_tooltip program_id='713173' first='Wood' last='Elite'] E40 15U version. One of those games would feature The SisterHood Lady Lions 15U Grim E40. Thanks in large part to a seven-point performance from [player_tooltip player_id='1242017' first='Davis' last=''], her team ran its record to 3-0 via a rout of the Mississippi-based club team. At an imposing 5-foot-11, she presents a noteworthy height advantage which comes in useful when looking to convert on high-percentage baskets and with rebounding. [player_tooltip player_id='1242017' first='Davis' last=''] also understand that playing in the frontcourt means getting physical and it means being unafraid of contact that give her team chances at the free throw line.

Weaver got the honor of calling to herself a state champion when her Golden Bears departed from the Macon Coliseum having defeated Hebron Christian by a final of 57-39 for the 2A state crown. Regardless of if it is under Macon's bright lights or in grassroots ball, Weaver ensures her play is always at a championship level. One way she does this is by adding a 3-point dimension to a team's offensive efforts. Weaver can handle the ball even in precarious situations and has no issues splitting defenses to ensure strong finishes at the rim. She scored nine points in that rout of The SisterHood Lady Lions 15U Grim E40.

Garcia did not have far to go to get to Marietta HS given 6A Etowah is only a short distance from the home court of the Blue Devils. Garcia also was part of the offensive onslaught that was too much for The SisterHood Lady Lions 15U Grim E40 to handle as she placed 10 points on the board. A good bit of those points were via the 3-pointer – she drained two 3-pointers for the game. Garcia is an efficient rebounder and that is complimented by how turnover-prone her defense can leave opposing teams on offense. Garcia was part of an Eagles team that concluded the 2024-25 season with a mark of 21-9.

Wilmington's seven points were a key factor that led to a [program_tooltip program_id='713173' first='Wood' last='Elite'] E40 15U rout of The SisterHood Lady Lions 15U Grim E40 on Sunday afternoon at Marietta HS. The win was the team's third of the Peach Games weekend. The East Paulding standout's travel career includes a stint with [program_tooltip program_id='715404' first='North' last='Metro Elite']. Wilmington is listed at 5-foot-4 and can get creative at times with the strength she brings to her finishes at the rim. Opposing defenses have to watch out for if Wilmington has the ball behind the 3-point arc because she is likely to take – and make – her tries from deep. Wilmington can also collect a large number of steals.

We move from a 5A East Paulding rising star to a 6A North Paulding rising star. That name on the rise for the Wolfpack scored eight points to help [program_tooltip program_id='713173' first='Wood' last='Elite'] E40 15U to a blowout of The SisterHood Lady Lions 15U Grim E40. What made this team dangerous was it was a rout with a balanced scoring attack. Listed at 5-foot-6, Hinkson can give a team productive minutes either as a one or as a two. Nearly a year ago, Hinkson landed her first collegiate offer as she announced that Jacksonville State had her on its radar. Ball distribution and effective shot selection are among the many strong points to her game.

When one is a product of the venerable NC GBB program in the Research Triangle, one knows they are hooping in the Hoop State. Her [program_tooltip program_id='714756' first='Carolina' last='All-Stars'] 15U E40 team had a rough go of things Sunday afternoon against a tough [program_tooltip program_id='713456' first='Porter' last='Sports'] 15U assembling. Woodland still held her own by scoring nine points to lead her team. Woodland is a 2029 that happens to be playing up in class. When one has the ball handling skills of the guard position she plays fused together with the 5-foot-10 height more commonly found in threes, fours and fives, two words come to mind. "Matchup" is the first word. "Problem" is the other.

Woods is a two-sport athlete who also thrives as a flag football standout alongside her basketball achievements. She was one of the reasons why [program_tooltip program_id='713456' first='Porter' last='Sports'] 15U concluded the weekend with a 3-1 showing. Woods is listed at 5-foot-9 and primarily operates as a small forward. Last season's 2A Sumter County version concluded the season with a 19-10 record. Her heads-up attitude combined with impressive defensive work make her a threat to come through with defensive plays and create additional possessions for her team on offense. Woods' athletic career has also included gymnastics.
