As "The Classic" continued on Saturday in Louisville, Kentucky, several Indiana players showed strong play and even improvements in their games. There were a number of prospects who really helped themselves with their recruitment and below is a look at a handful of guards who played well when I was able to see them.

[player_tooltip player_id='486538' first='Trinity' last='Wilburn'], 2026, 5-5 PG, McCutcheon H.S., [program_tooltip program_id='716173' first='Always' last='100'] Grind 17U
- I've now seen Trinity on multiple weekends this Spring, and each time she seems to be playing more and more like her old self, gaining a little more explosion and absorbing contact much better each time out. She is still a talented North/South athlete who can get gaps and attack the basket. She has an array of finishes in the paint, and she's able to find open teammates as well. As she continues to stack consistent day on top of consistent day, I expect her to hit full stride by July.

[player_tooltip player_id='992522' first='Aaliyah' last='Coney'], 2027, 5-7 CG, Lafayette Jefferson H.S., [program_tooltip program_id='712570' first='Indiana's' last='Best'] 16U
- This was my initial introduction to Aaliyah, and she's an extremely intriguing young guard with quite a bit of potential. She has nice length, speed & quickness, and she plays with a real confidence. She is a lefty shooter and got hot in the second half of their morning game, burying multiple long jumpers, several after creating space with the dribble. She has a solid feel to play some on the ball, and she seemed to see the floor well and willingly find open teammates. She also defends with effort.

[player_tooltip player_id='890800' first='Keara' last='Lipscomb-Allen'], 2027, 5-7 CG, McCutcheon H.S., [program_tooltip program_id='712570' first='Indiana's' last='Best'] 16U
- Keara's college interest is really starting to pick up steam, especially with her putting together several good showings each weekend. She is long, wiry, fluid, and smooth. She has a nice feel/savvy for the game, and she is an absolute playmaker off the bounce. She can get out and go in transition, break down defenders in the halfcourt, plus she has some touch from the perimeter when set and in rhythm. Added strength should help her to both absorb contact better and shoot it more consistently.

[player_tooltip player_id='751116' first='Riley' last='Sims'], 2027, 5-6 SG, Columbus North H.S., IBC-Stillabower 16U
- Riley was extremely aggressive and physical when I saw her early Saturday afternoon. In the 18 months I've known her, she has always been a strong wing guard who likes to put her head down and attack the basket. Now, she is getting through contact and finishing at the basket consistently. When she doesn't finish, she's often at least drawing fouls. She plays with a motor at both ends of the floor and doesn't mind doing a lot of the "little things" to help her team win.

[player_tooltip player_id='751071' first='Izzy' last='Stillabower'], 2027, 5-5 CG, Franklin Community H.S., IBC-Stillabower 16U
- One year ago, I felt like Izzy was more of a shooting guard who played off the ball and would try to get herself open around the wings and long corners. Saturday, she was playing more of a facilitating role. She has good speed & quickness, nice length at her height, and she can initiate an offense or attack gaps and find open teammates. She can still shoot it, and with nice range, but as she continues to make her handle more dynamic, look for her to improve as a more traditional lead guard.
