We are midway through the Spring, and we have updated the prospect rankings in all four graduating classes currently enrolled in high school. For many of the ladies in the Class of 2028, they begin leadership roles at their high schools, and several of them will start getting significant attention from college coaches. The overall list (rankings & watch list included) has expanded from 135 total prospects to 150 total prospects. With that said, below is a look at all of the power forward prospects in the Class of 2028. Below the rankings chart are some quick updates on a handful of uncommitted prospects.

A couple of weekends ago at The Clash was the first time I had seen Kendyl in a little while. She has gotten noticeably stronger, but more impressively, she continues to build her skillset and stretch her game. She is still most comfortable in the mid-post and around the paint, but I think she has the potential to eventually play long stretches solely around the perimeter. She is certainly athletic enough, and she has started to shoot it more often/more consistently from the 3-point line. The next step will be learning how to play lower, both handling the ball and defensively on the ball.

Jaylee is a big part of a resurgence at Marion, plus she is a really nice college prospect who should continue to improve over the next couple of years. Last season, she was a walking double-double who used her strength and athleticism to dominate the boards, score it consistently around the block, and defend with effort. She is probably closer to 5-10 now, and she's starting to add a more efficient perimeter game. She has some similarities to Indiana University-Indianapolis Freshman Destini Craig. Look for Jaylee with the Bates Fundamental 17U team this Spring.

Morgan is just starting to scratch the surface, and she could be a much bigger influence on the Lady Raider roster next season. She is long, wiry, and bouncy. She plays hard, she has some speed & quickness, plus she is versatile. She can even step outside and knock down the occasional wing 3-pointer. I don't know that she'll ever be a small forward, but she is a nice face-up '4' who can become even more of a threat as a perimeter shooter/driver. Defensively, she can play the role of a paint protector and block the occasional shot/rebound, or she can contain wings/forwards off the bounce.

I've only seen JaeLyn briefly, but she has a great deal of potential and should continue to get better and better each year. First of all, she continues to grow, as did her 6-9 brother who was a Freshman this year at Wright State. She has probably grown 3 or 4 inches in the last year or so. JaeLyn is extremely long, fluidly athletic, and she has some skill at all three levels. She might even grow another couple of inches, and as a skilled face-up '4', she could become a really nice matchup problem. I will be anxious to follow her game's development over the next couple of years.
