2028 Rankings Update: Top 10 (1-5)

The future is now; check out the California class of 2028 Top 10! These incredible athletes have already made an impact at the High School level as freshman and continue to make waves on the AAU scene this summer. The future is bright coming out of California with multiple players already making a name on the national stage in a number of ways. Check out below who cracked the top 5 with this update!    Tati had a HUGE freshman campaign bringing home 1st team All State and 1st team All CIF honors while helping Ontario Christian to a CIF title. Tati is also making her name known on the national stage playing with Team USA's U16 squad this summer. Big physical 3 level scorer. Dangerous shooter from behind the arc + has a balanced pull up. Physical driver, gets downhill at will and finishes consistently, creatively and through contact. Already show's 4 year level size/physicality + the ability to switch and guard multiple positions.     Hamiley had a bigtime freshman campaign averaging over 23ppg + 11reb while being named All CIF. 3 level scorer with the ability to get hot and score in bunches. Shifty handle + ability change to pace makes her very hard to keep in front. Reads the defense well, utilizes short pull ups, floaters, and is very crafty at the rim. Efficient in transition. Score first mentality, consistently hunts for her shot. Already shows high release and the ability to shoot contested comfortability.     Sydney continues to solidify herself as one of the top 2028 forward prospects in the country. This summer she made Team USA's U19 squad and has been picking up high major offers left and right. Incredibly mobile, athletic and agile for her size. Runs the floor with active hands, and a soft touch around the rim. Good shot from 15, can and will face up and create. Fluid natural jumper with expanding range. Dominate force on both ends of the glass. Potential to continue to develop game as stretch forward.     Amel is a SUPER high ceiling long, athletic rebounding wing. Second team All State + recently had a phenomenal showing in front of national scouts at the Team USA Junior National Camp. High level, versatile defender that can guard multiple positions. Uses her length and lateral speed to create deflections, and chaos. Super quick in transition, uses length and athleticism to find ways to finish around the rim. Creative finisher that isn't afraid of contact. Super quick first step, very hard to keep in front. Skys the limit type of player as her skill level continues to develop more and more.     Impact forward on one of top teams in Northern California. 2025 West Catholic Athletic League Player of the Year. Stretches the floor with her ability to knock down from behind the arc. Cut, slashes and finishes well. Good first step, gets downhill and creates well. Big time defensive threat, rim protector + finishes plays with rebound. Guards 1-5. Moves well laterally and impacts game with active hands. Showed as a freshman the ability to guard, rebound and impact the game against top competition in the state.
