One thing I know is that going from middle school to high school, adjustments have to be made by players, and some make them quicker than others, so I'm breaking this down in a couple of segments

Byers-Veal is "long and athletic" and stands above "the magic number" yet her intangibles will keep her on the short list for countless D1 programs, yes, she is a #D1Lock. Her timing to block shots, pick pockets, and play the passing lane has gotten better. She rebounds on both ends, scores around the basket, off the dribble, and with the pull-up jumper. She also did a good job defending both inside and outside the paint

Jackson has several acronyms scribbled by her name, including OTC, which means "off the chain". She's explosive off the dribble and finishes strongly after contact, but she's also explosive off the ground, and watching her elevate to get rebounds and go coast to coast to score or dish was nice, or grabbing them and scoring on putbacks, she scored multiple ways around the basket. She dropped the jumper and did a good job defensively

Tapia is, how can I say this, a "nightmare to defend". Her first step sets everything up as she blows by defenders with ease to score, but seeing her add the turbo in the open court and stay under control going full speed is special at this stage. Her court vision across the board looks good, she also drops the mid to long range, yet let me acknowledge that her "on the ball" pressure is somothering

Madkins has the "you can't stop me" mindset, and what has amazed me about her from that initial sighting is that she wants the ball in clutch situations, and I have firsthand seen her deliver. She is handling the ball and seeing the floor under pressure, she's creating her shot while being defended, and she did a good job using the slight HEZ to attack and finish. On the flip, her "on the ball" pressure was also solid

Hensle showed me in person that she wasn't just an urban legend, and I always say I have to see things for myself. She's heady and does a good job with her shot selection as well as decision making, so watching her create her shot and drop it from deep, using the step back, was nice. She also gave it to me using the "stop and pop" in transition. She also falls into that #sizedontmatter group and when you can shoot like she can, IT DOESN'T MATTER
