The updates for the '28 class rankings were released yesterday. Now is the ideal time to spotlight one of the most intriguing group of girls. This class has grown vastly since the last iteration. The update put a slew of new names in the mix as well as some key movements that've happened recently within the list. The 5 names mentioned below are the 5 premier players from the rankings, ones that're totally worth all the buzz.

Use code MBG30 for 30% off your first purchase of any subscription.

What can be mentioned about Pepper that hasn't already been said? She's been invited to just about every camp so far and even has consideration for Team USA honors. Ella is leading every list as the premier player in the class. This is an inherently special player that brings tremendous value across the board.

[player_tooltip player_id='351875' first='Alannah' last='Morantus']

One of the biggest statements of the offseason was Morantus' announcement of her transfer to Nobles. NEPSAC has once again been shaken up in a major way. Alannah is one of the best purely talented players in the region, regardless of class. She has outstanding measurables and an upper-level skillset that sets her apart from most other guards. Nobles yet again has another exceptionally remarkable player that can hold the reins. Alannah absolutely has what it takes to boost a historic program that's looking to make a legendary run.

[player_tooltip player_id='975778' first='Aliyah' last='Allston-Pujols']

What a beast Aliyah is. She's a versatile forward that can play a few roles and is one fierce competitor. There're not many players with the size, athleticism, foundational strength, stability, agility, consistency on both sides of the ball and the defensive IQ of Allston-Pujols. On top it it all, she's a hard worker too. The 2-way play she provides is unquestionably influential to winning basketball.

[player_tooltip player_id='975770' first='Addison' last='Brennan'] (2028)

What a jump Brennan has made within the rankings. In this update Addison is now at the #4 spot in the entire class and for good reason. Her quick progression isn't going unnoticed; the 6'3 big has grown immensely in such a short period. Brennan's inside-out game is such a force to deal with. She's also an anchor on defense that's awfully mobile considering her large frame. The 3-point shooting capability is the part of her game that really stands out though. This isn't a big that can occasionally hit an open 3, Addsion is a knock-down deep 3 threat that's liable to connect on most if defenders don't apply heavy attention. She's ascending at full tilt; there's no telling where her game is headed with how fast she's advancing.

[player_tooltip player_id='975729' first='Aaralyn' last='Scott']

Scott has been on the radar since first witnessing her contribute as an 8th grader in highly competitive NEPSAC moments, so it's no surprise to see her here within the top 5. She's ranked #2 at her position and her steady play as a facilitating, tough-nosed point guard makes it evident why she's recognized. Aarolyn has already received a few Division 1 offers, coming off stately performances on some of the loftiest stages. Her poise under pressure is like a secret weapon that counterbalances the high energy, aggressive play from opposing players. Scott brings a sense of grace as well as control over the game that's commanding and distinctly efficient.
