She continues to be a threat to pull up from three at any time, but she is adding a pull up game and the ability to attack the rim and finish. her lenght is a great asset rebounding and defending and her success with United NJ has carried over to her Westwood team. She had the ball in her hands repeatedly to initiate offense and run the show. When others struggled scoring, she stepped up and put the ball in the hoop. She attacked the rim and scored through contact. While also playing softball, flag football and soccer, Ava still finds a way to dominate on the hardwood. She has a motor and a stong frame that allows her to get to the rim and finish despite her size. She led Secaucus in almost every category as a freshman and showed why she continues to be the future of this program with her efforts Saturday. She is dynamic off the bounce getting into the lane and finishing. She took home Player of the Game honors for her South Shore squad against a talented Morris Catholic team. She showed good hands on the interior, abilty to get good post position and no problem scoring on the catch with defenders on her back. She was Player of the Game against Ranney and flashed the same skills she has been showing for United NJ. She plays in control, gets to the rim and finishes, confidently handles the ball and has confidence in her jumper.
