[player_tooltip player_id='433843' first='Alana' last='Harrison'], Howard, 2026, Wing

Alana provided a great spark for her team on both ends of the court. She was really good in transition, running the floor and finishing shots through contact. She was tough around the basket in both of her team's games, securing rebounds, making shots and drawing fouls. She played with a lot of energy and physicality.

[player_tooltip player_id='1056947' first='London' last='Elliott'], Poly, 2027, Point Guard

London was arguably the best player in the event. She showed off her blazing speed with quick, and decisive moves to the basket where she finished through contact. Her ball handling was tight, and she delivered accurate passes to her teammates. On defense she applied heavy ball pressure and showed off excellent lateral movement. I was impressed with her upper body strength and balance as she attacked the basket.

[player_tooltip player_id='569078' first='Courtney' last='Smith'], Frederick Douglas, 2026, Guard

I wanted to recognize Courtney for her outstanding shooting on the day. She has a serious set shot and only needs a small bit of space to get it off. She knocked down several three-pointers from different spots on the court. She also did a good job of attacking close outs once the defense figured out she was on fire. She has deceptive speed and a strong handle.

[player_tooltip player_id='1264115' first='Malia' last='Curtis'], Leonardtown, 2027, Point Guard

Maila had a solid day and showed off her playmaking abilities in both games. She has strong ball handling skills and knows how to create space. She has a solid and strong build which allows her to stay on balance through contact and finish plays. She's a good passer and has good court vision and IQ. She looks like a three level scorer and I'm interested in following her during the high school season.

[player_tooltip player_id='691974' first='Jeriah' last='Shipp'], Oakland Mills, 2026, Guard

This was a big day for Jeriah as defenders couldn't really do anything with her. She was getting to the basket frequently and scoring. She showed off some good footwork in the paint and made some nice fade away mid-range buckets. She was active on the glass and looked comfortable handling the ball and initiating the offense for the team.

Lena Quidort-Smartt, Oakland Mills, 2027, Wing

This was a nice coming out party for Lena. She put up double figures in scoring and was strong on the boards. She's good around the basket and made some shots near the foul line. She was very good off the ball, moving and making herself available as an outlet. She will be a strong rotation player for the Scorpions this upcoming season if she keeps this up.
