The AAU season has come to an end, and I'd like to highlight some players who helped themselves the most this spring and summer. Over the AAU season, there were plenty of players who excelled with the opportunities they earned, and we'll highlight a handful of players who helped themselves the most.

On paper, I would say that Klesmit's Prime Nation group had an uphill battle. However, Klesmit did what she does best and competed against some of the best talent in the country, and played well at every EYBL stop. Klesmit was among the most effective scorers in 17U EYBL this past season, and her size never hindered her. I've been a fan of hers for a while, but she even surprised me with how effective she was this spring and summer.

[player_tooltip player_id='936786' first='Leah' last='Awe']

Awe had gotten stronger from her previous AAU season to this past one. You also won't find many 6'3 "kids entering their sophomore season who can push the ball up the floor and dribble comfortably with both hands. She generated a bit of buzz throughout the summer and drew more interest as the AAU season went on. Awe's ceiling is among the highest I've seen since I started following the 2021-22 season, and she has already improved over the past 12 months.

[player_tooltip player_id='533066' first='Audrey' last='Meudt']

The Waunakee guard is a player I've highlighted numerous times over the past year. Her ability to play as a connector and get the most out of any unit she plays with is stunning to me. Meudt is at the heart of anything her team does, and she makes everyone around her better. The Warrior may not be the most athletic player on the floor, but she knows her limits. If she can't blow by opposing guards, she'll drive to post up guards and use her footwork to create space around the rim for her to finish. She finds ways to make things work.

[player_tooltip player_id='914989' first='Claudia' last='Jenny']

In terms of intangibles, I don't think anyone has a larger mental edge than Jenny. As the daughter of a coach, you can tell she sees the game differently than most of the players she plays with or against. The way Jenny communicates on the floor is different than any other guard I've seen in her class. She directs traffic well and is particular about how she wants her bigs to set screens, and other things of that nature. It's cliché to call a kid a coach on the floor, but that's what Jenny is.
