One of my favorite stops of the summer circuit is the University of Delaware's Elite Camp. They have an excellent staff, and they always attract a bunch of ballers. They have an enthusiastic crew that puts the campers through some warmup drills followed by some intense three on three and then some high-level scrimmages. This year almost 100 campers showed up to show off their skills. The campers received excellent instruction, advice and wisdom from the current UD players and their coaches. Here are some of the players I came away impressed with.

Kennedy came all the way from Killeen, Texas to show off her skills and she did was impressive. I noticed her defense first, as she was really getting into her stance and showing off some upper body strength. She played with an edge and consistently established good positioning which helped her keep ball handlers in front of her. She showed off some good body control while attacking the basket and made some tough shots.

Zikora Etolue, Urbana High School, 2027, Wing

Zikora shows improvement every time I see her. She has excellent length and is a high-level defender. She's very strong at the point of attack when guarding on the perimeter and when she does get beat, she can recover quickly. She had a couple of highlight reel chase down blocks. She has great timing on her block attempts and defends without fouling. She has good speed and made some eye-opening closeouts on three-point shooters. On offense she finished strong around the basket and showed a nice mid-range touch.

Lenora Dawkins, DMV Academy, 2028, Guard

Lenora is really starting to stand out wherever she goes. She has tremendous potential athleticism and has improved her ball handling skills from last year. She is a terror in transition and can get her shot off against just about any defender. She really excelled at pushing the ball and finding open teammates with accurate passes, or getting to the basket and finishing herself.

[player_tooltip player_id='943414' first='Eden' last='Berry'], Archbishop Spalding, 2027, Guard

Smooth lefty with a solid build and exceptional athleticism. She showed off some good on ball defense and ball handling. She played at a deliberate pace and did not allow defenders to speed her up. She can guard multiple positions due to her size and strength.

[player_tooltip player_id='919624' first='Nawel' last='Ibazatene'], Philly Rise, 2028, Guard

6'1" lefty guard with some serious vision and passing ability. She looked really comfortable with the ball in her hands and was really looking to set up her teammates which is refreshing in these camp events. She made some shots around the basket with both hands and showed some solid footwork. Very impressive showing for this Team France U15 baller.
