More Names Worth Mentioning in the 2029 Class

With the PGH Kentucky Freshman Showcase a little under a month away, this article continues the deep dive into the Class of 2029. The talent in this group continues to impress, and the list of prospects with next-level potential keeps growing. Take a look at a few more names you need to know in the Class of 2029.    I had the chance to get a good look at [player_tooltip player_id='1123010' first='Ava' last='Crace'] at the Run 4 Roses. A legit 6-footer, Ava runs the floor well and is an effective trailer in transition. She has a nice touch around the rim, is a strong rebounder on both ends and uses her length to alter shots and anchor the paint defensively. As an 8th grader, she led North Oldham in both scoring (7.3 PPG) and rebounding (8.0 RPG). While she's still a bit raw, Ava clearly has the physical tools and upside to develop into a college-level player.     [player_tooltip player_id='1213571' first='Jaycee' last='Simpson'] had an impressive season as the starting point guard, playing in all 32 games as an 8th grader. She averaged 6.2 points, 3.1 assists, 2.9 steals, and 2.3 rebounds per game, making a solid all-around impact. Jaycee is a high-IQ player and a reliable spot-up shooter from deep, but she's just as effective putting her head down and attacking the basket. On the defensive end, she's as gritty as they come, using active hands and great anticipation to disrupt passing lanes and turn steals into easy points. She's a knockdown catch-and-shoot threat from the outside, capable of hitting several threes in a game when she gets hot. Paxton also holds her own defensively, showing effort and awareness on that end of the floor. She's poised to take a significant step forward in her freshman season.     [player_tooltip player_id='1060591' first='Breannah' last='Engle'] is a name you'll be hearing a lot more of in the near future. She was a key contributor for the Lady Tigers last season, averaging 8 points and 4 rebounds per game. Breannah had standout performances of 29 and 18 points, proving she can fill it up and carry the offensive load when needed. She brings just as much energy and intensity on the defensive end, consistently making her presence felt on both sides of the floor and competing on the glass.     [player_tooltip player_id='1194168' first='Azaria' last='Burks'] is a wing with a good mixture of size, length, and athleticism. She makes an impact on both ends of the floor. She finishes well at the rim, can stretch the floor with her three-point range, and has shown that she can create her own shot. Her leaping ability gives her an edge on the boards, and she also brings value as a rim protector. Azaria's all-around game and upside makes her a player to keep an eye on as she continues to develop.
