She played amazing at the Apache, and she put in the work all off season to get better. She's smart with the ball in her hands. If you go under the screen, she's knocking down the long ball. If you try to go over, she is beating you off the dribble or making the correct play to a teammate. Offensively, she continues to do a great job getting to the rim and getting her teammates involved. She's a quick guard with a nice first step. It's never too soon to talk about the 2030 class. All college coaches will soon know Demi, if they don't already. When I watched her highlights, I was left extremely impressed. She's great with her back to the basket. She showcases nice footwork in the paint area. She is blessed with height and length, and knows exactly how to use it! She's a strong two way athlete. She's a true rebounding machine. Lena is an impactful athlete that does whatever is asked of her! Lena has a beautiful outside shot and any time her feet are set, you better count it! She continues to do a good job in the mid-range. Defensively, she excels in jumping the passing lanes to pick up steals. She is a 6 footer that knows how to get downhill. She understands her mismatches, so when a smaller guard is on her, she is shooting right over that guard. The lefty has a nice stroke from downtown. She rebounds at a high level and she is ready to push the ball as soon as it arrives in her hands. Natalie will be a huge factor in the success for Grafton this season. She's a good ball handler that loves to attack strong and get to the rim. She knows how to draw a hard foul and finish the old-fashioned 3 point play. Goodwin excels on the defensive end and she takes pride in getting a stop. Defense to offense is a specialty of Payten's.
