Impact of TSSAA Transfer Rule on School Sports

Based on a criteria that must be approved by the TSSAA, one could change schools without changing residence. Though some may frown on this, I think this is good for the game because it enables kids to go to places that may value the game a little more than where they currently are.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>However you may feel, my point is that in a lot of divisions this upcoming year, things got a little tough for some. Schools like Collierville, MTCS, and Grace Christian Knoxville have loaded up to make their title runs. Schools like Bartlett, Page, and David Crockett have gotten better. Sure, there are more David vs. Goliath storylines, but what if you are that team that knocks one of them off their perch? Think of the confidence and the momentum shift that could bring. The way I look at it, it doesn't matter who is suiting up on the opposing team; I am going to give them my all. You have to play the game. The game isn't won on paper.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This could be a topic that could go on and on for days. However, I would like to point out a few transfer kids who will give their new school an edge this upcoming season. She runs the floor well, finishes, and defends like crazy. She's been battle-tested and she's primed and ready to compete not only against Tennessee talent but a national schedule as well. She will be in the lab daily with her dad, who will have her ready and even more laser-focused. She's going to fit right in with the CPA system can play her game. She will be used to push the ball in transition, knock down 3s, used in the pick and roll game that will enable her to come off shooting her mid-range jumper. I expect her defensive stats to be high based on how they play defense off Old Hickory Blvd. The way they pressure kids will enable CR to be in gaps, ready to pounce on steal opportunities. Look for her to be aggressive and physical right from the start.
