On Sunday, players from around the state of Georgia as well as other states (TN, TX, AL, MI) descended upon Marietta High School for 4 hours to showcase their talent against their peers in their class. It's a refreshing event to see the classes of 2028 and 2029 compete against their own to see where they truly stand at the state level. Here are evaluations on one of the teams I scouted:

Ellie's size, frame, and length stood out right away against her peers as a class of 2029 hooper. She knocked down multiple 3's and was one of the best shooters in the gym with really nice form on her shot from deep. I was impressed with her ability to run the floor and actively move without the ball in her hands on offense by constantly cutting and keeping the defense working.

Zoë was one of the best players in the gym, regardless of class. She shot the ball extremely well from long range, utilized a nasty shot fake, and had the best spin move in all of Marietta. On defense, she provided pressure and got in the passing lanes, but I was really surprised when she got up and blocked a couple of shots. Offensively, she distributed the ball at a high level to her teammates and showcased some elite handles. Her ability to play off of two feet, make some tough finishes at the rim, score it efficiently, and make the right read/pass is going to have her in the conversation for the Top 2029 for years to come in the Peach State.

Arianna communicated as well or better than anyone in the entire gym on Sunday and her voice was always heard. She had a filthy behind-the-back And One at the end of the event that was the best move I saw all day. Her game is shifty, creative, and smart. Offensively, she showed off a nice shot and passed the ball well to her teammates. Ari was able to finish high with the ball and could do it with either hand at the rim. A ton of her points came in transition from turnovers she created or from her running the court getting fed by her teammates.

Harlow is a high motor player that gave great energy and effort on both ends of the floor. Her on-ball pressure defense gave ball handlers fits. Offensively, she played very unselfish and dished out some assists in the action I saw. She elevates very well, and she was tough to stop when she put the ball on the floor by either getting to the rim or hitting the pull up from the mid-range.

I loved the energy Kacie played with on Sunday, and she had to with the team only having 5 players. Defensively, she had active hands and got in a stance against opposing teams guards. On the offensive end, she did a nice job of putting the ball on the floor and getting downhill to the basket.
