The PGH Illinois Freshman Showcase brought together some of the top rising players in the state. Each player's evaluation is based on their performance from this one-day event. Below is a look at how Team 5 competed and who stood out.
Albaro has no sense of fear, especially with the contact. She's not overly flashy and can get to the rim in a short amount of dribbles. A glue piece for a team.
Evaluations are normally subscriber-only but when an athlete subscribes, theirs becomes free for all readers.

Vlahos' impact on the game came in a ton of ways, but the ones that stood out to me were her ability to slow down whoever was in front of her. She plays defense without the goal to steal the ball, but to make her matchup think twice.
