Noble has made the move to Evanston, which is another program thats known for having and developing some of the top players in the state. With not playing much this past high school season, there could be a chip on her shoulder, which usually increases the aggression in how someone might attack the game. As of now, Layla’s ability to score from all over is why she remains a strong and notable prospect. However, she is nowhere near the type of player that she could be. Her shooting is smooth, the ball handling is tight, and she is very composed for her age. Strong upside.

Regardless of the limited opportunity this year due to being part of a heavy upperclassmen program, there’s still no doubt about her talent. She’s an even-keeled guard who can both score and facilitate at a strong level. She also has the frame and agility to show that same aggression on the defensive end of the floor, and as that continues to develop we should see more of her impact during the high school season.

Noble has been patient waiting for her moment to shine on the varsity level, but the skillset and overall potential that she has have not changed. This kid is fundamentally sound and has a different feel and pace to the game that most players at this age don’t get till they’re 2-3 seasons deep in their HS career. With her program being deep with talent, most people will overlook it, but when the AAU season kicks off, you need to be front court for Full Package games. She will turn heads and keep coaches watching. High potential.

Fundamentally, Noble is in a class of her own among freshmen, and she’s still nowhere near her peak. With Ignatius losing much of its core, she has a real chance to step into major minutes this season. If she does, don’t be surprised to see her land on the all-conference list while helping bring in wins for the program.

I’ve heard that Loyola Academy’s freshman class was deep, and seeing Noble a couple of weeks back proved what I’ve been hearing. This was truly my first time seeing her in a full game situation, and if this kid continues to play with that much poise and fundamental skill… There is no limit. She can score from all areas and knows how to play off the ball as well. Huge upside.
