Sandy’s Spiel Sunday Fall League: Week 1 Standouts

The super sophomore dazzled in a win over Jones County, pumping in a league-high 25 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals in a 44-21 rout. Hinkson couldn't miss from deep, drilling four threes. While she may not catch your eye stepping off the bus, the lightweight slender guard is a killer on the floor with her well-rounded skill. She's a creative playmaker downhill with great vision and decision making. She scores from the in between with floaters and pull-ups. Hinkson is mature beyond her years. Already with D-I offers, as Hinkson continues to fill out her frame and grow, she will become an even bigger prospect and one of the elites in Georgia.     Allen made a statement in a 63-31 win against a shorthanded River Ridge team, blasting four threes as part of her game-high 16 points. Jayden consistently knocked down shots from the perimeter. She's a good athlete with long arms for a guard. Heading into her senior season, Allen feels like a sleeper trending in the right direction.     One of if not the most consistent and skilled bigs in Georgia, Nimah did a little bit of everything in Week 1 with 8 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists and 4 blocks. Ibidunni has great footwork and understanding of how to score in the pivot. Wiry and long, Nimah plays with strength as the anchors the paint defensively and scores through contact inside. She has moves with her back to the basket and can space the floor on the perimeter as both a shooter and driver. Nimah is lethal in the high post. D-I schools are already in on Ibidunni, rightfully so.     There is not much more to say about the reigning league MVP. Abbey is a habitual producer, an impact maker in every phase of the game. She has elite instincts and a wonderful scoring touch. Bensman identifies plays and reacts before the opposition can make a move. Bensman tallied 15 points, 8 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals and 2 blocks in a 40-36 win over Christian Heritage.     In her first game at the Sandy's Spiel Fall League Carly made a positive impression as she racked up 18 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal and 1 block. Bramlett is a strong wing that can play both inside and out. Back from a thumb injury, Carly found success attacking from the perimeter, using her size to back down and spin off defenders. She hit some tough unorthodox shots from 10-feet as she showcased a feathery touch. Bramlett is a steady producer capable of playing both the 3 and the 4. Carly should start picking up steam with D-III programs among other levels.     The highly-touted middle Georgia prospect led her team to a gritty 32-31 win over Carrollton, hitting a short turnaround jumper late in the game to win it. Thomas collected 11 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist and 3 steals. Trinitee is an elite athlete who can take over games with her motor. She excels at getting into passing lanes and playing in the open floor. She is a solid shooter off the dribble, liking to spin back for fadeaways. Trinitee routinely fills up the stat sheet with her aggressive nature.
