[player_tooltip player_id='1307812' first='Bryn' last='Wright'] of Mediapolis High School will return this Winter as the State's leader in Assists Per Game from the 2024-2025 year. Wright, the 5'7 PG, averaged just under 8 APG on the way to a 21-2 record for her junior year and she is prepared to put together an even better season than before. When you look at Wright's supporting cast and understand that she is one of the best creators and facilitators that the state of Iowa has to offer, you start to see the promise that could be this Winter. If she does put together a better campaign this time around, it could be one of the best individual seasons from a PG that we have seen in quite a long time out of the Midwest.

The Essex Trojans didn't have the season that they would have liked last year but that didn't stop some of their prospects from putting together some impressive showings. Someone out of their 2028 Class, who had a remarkable stat line when the season came to an end was SF, [player_tooltip player_id='1307821' first='Paityn' last='Vanatta']. Vanatta comes in at 5'10 and she was the tallest over her 7 varsity teammates. This factor stuck her in the post or near the bucket a majority of the Winter but that paid off. Vanatta ended the season averaging 10 PPG, 17 RPG, and 2 APG to help carry her team. This Winter she will look to build on that foundation that she put in place as a Freshman. If they use her in the right ways again and they give her some help, they could put together a year to remember.

If you know about [player_tooltip player_id='592200' first='Hudsyn' last='Ranschau'], you know that she is a top notch prospect when it comes to shooting the basketball from deep. Ranschau shot the deep ball at a 46.1% clip during her Junior season, ranking her as a Top Five 3PT % shooter throughout the entire state of Iowa. When it comes to catching-and-shooting, this is someone to know if you don't already. Whenever she has any time or space from behind the arc to let it go, it's usually good or close to it. No many individuals shoot near 50% from the floor in general, to do it from three so consistently is next level and I hope we see that more for her Senior season in just a few months.

[player_tooltip player_id='582809' first='Emma' last='Boswell'] has been the state of Iowa's leading rebounder for years at this point. Boswell only stands a 5'11 while playing the SF position but over her career she is averaging some insane numbers. Just last year she scored 18 PPG, while averaging just under 22 RPG on the way to an overall 14-9 record with her Bulldog team. I'd be hard pressed to find someone who is going to put up more numbers than her this upcoming season. Considering she is going to be a senior with three years of varsity experience under her belt, she should have all the confidence in the world to go out there and kill it.

[player_tooltip player_id='891985' first='Ava' last='Smid'] will return for her Sophomore season at DCG as the State's Most Efficient shot maker from a year ago. As a Freshman with the Mustangs, Smid converted at over a 60% rate, ranking her #6 throughout Iowa. Will the five others before her leaving due to graduation, Smid will look to make her presence known once again within the 4A Class. I always expect DCG to be in the State Conversation when it comes to Playoffs and Smid playing really well out of the Post will play into that. That's for sure.
