It can be very easy to get caught up in focusing on the top players in a specific graduating class, so occasionally I like to take the time to point out a handful of talented ladies who currently find themselves on the watch lists. Below is a look at a few such ladies who have talent, skill, and the ability to help a college program down the road.

Haileigh is an extremely long and wiry forward who has always seemed to thrive in that 15 to 20-foot range. She is an excellent mid-range shooter who can extend to the 3-point line, and she has improved her ball-handling quite a bit over the last couple of years. She looked a little stronger and much more aggressive attacking the basket during this grassroots season. Additionally, she was more effective as a defensive rebounder and a multi-positional defender. She also has a knack for blocking perimeter jump-shots.

Last season, Kalea sort of came out of nowhere on Lawrence North's talented roster to be a dangerous wing and deep corner 3-point threat for the Lady Wildcats. She gets her feet set quickly and gets rid of the ball. This Summer, she looked to drive the ball a lot more and create more offense, which will be key for the 2025-2026 season, because she'll likely be asked to do a lot more with their recent departures. She is strong, willing to be physical, and she plays with a really nice motor. She could have a strong Senior season.

Lela was in the lineup for the Cardinals when she arrived on campus as a Freshman, but she has seemingly grown an inch each year and transformed from more of a scoring guard to a versatile wing who can play all over the floor. She has tremendous length, some bounce, and she moves effortlessly. She's one of those prospects who might not be elite in any category, but she is well-rounded and good at most things. I also like her ability to sit down and defend guards or go inside and battle for boards against forwards.

Olivia is an intriguing prospect to be on this list. For her grassroots team, and likely for whatever school she commits to, she could be a talented wing scorer who can also make plays off the bounce. But for her high school team, she acts as the primary ball-handler and she's a more-than-willing distributor who chalks up big assist numbers. Regardless, she is extremely long and wiry, fluidly athletic, and skilled with the ball in her hands. This Spring and Summer were good for her to get experience against a better tier of competition.

Aleia is a strong, physical, aggressive scorer who is always trying to find a bucket. She has nice North/South speed, she can run by opponents in transition, and if she gets downhill at all to the basket, she's likely scoring it, or you'll have to foul her to stop her approach. Her motor and competitiveness are unquestioned, but as she learns how to change speeds and directions with her athleticism, I think it can make her offensive game more consistent. Also, she is an assertive defender who can guard multiple positions.

A'lanah is very much an under-the-radar athlete. She plays with a lot of effort, and she likes to contribute at both ends of the floor. She is a bouncy, wiry-strong, fast prospect who plays much bigger than she is. She gets inside off the bounce and finishes over taller defenders because of her vertical, and she is an excellent rebounder who tracks down caroms outside of her area. Additionally, she'll sit down to defend guards, and she has a solid handle in transition. She's another who just needs to learn how to change speeds more effectively.
