Kalea has had a strong summer with Always 100 , showing clear improvement in her game and earning recent offers from Alma College, Mount St. Joseph College, and Indiana University East. With Lawrence North losing key players, she’s poised to step into a bigger leadership role this season. Last year, Kalea emerged as a breakout star for the Wildcats’ offense, becoming their most reliable three-point shooter on a team that went on to win the 4A state championship. Her ability to consistently knock down shots—especially in transition—gave Lawrence North a major spark. This offseason, she’s added more versatility to her game by attacking the basket with confidence, giving her an even bigger arsenal on the offensive end. With her shooting, improved playmaking, and leadership, Kalea is set to be a vital piece of Lawrence North’s success as they look to defend their title.

Last season, Kalea sort of came out of nowhere on Lawrence North’s talented roster to be a dangerous wing and deep corner 3-point threat for the Lady Wildcats. She gets her feet set quickly and gets rid of the ball. This Summer, she looked to drive the ball a lot more and create more offense, which will be key for the 2025-2026 season, because she’ll likely be asked to do a lot more with their recent departures. She is strong, willing to be physical, and she plays with a really nice motor. She could have a strong Senior season.

I wasn’t terribly familiar with Kalea until I saw her starting in a game for Lawrence North in June. She has a solid to strong frame, she’s a balanced athlete, and she plays with a nice motor. She has some touch outside and likes to play off penetration from Wildcat teammates, as she’s often hunting jump-shots. She is a solid North/South driver and making more of a commitment to that could really help her keep defenses honest. I am very curious to see what her role will be this season, but she could add shooting value.
