2027 Massachusetts Frontcourt Players Making Moves

Been watching frontcourt talent across Massachusetts and these four are doing things that are hard to ignore. Great size, hustle on both ends, and making plays that force teams to adjust. The 2027 class has a solid crop of bigs, and these players are ones you need to know.    Abigail is a powerful low-post presence who is fun to watch. She has a well‐rounded post game — dribble-comeback, drop-step, middle-hook — all with soft touch. She finishes efficiently near the rim and crashes boards reliably. On defense she steers paint traffic, alters shots, and shows good rotation timing from help side. Abigail is already a force, and as she keeps working on her skills, she can be a legit low-post force at the next level.     Haley has an elite first step — she explodes off the catch or facing up in the post, getting downhill fast and forcing defenders to react. Her athleticism shows up in her balance and body control, especially when finishing through contact. She finishes well with both hands in the paint, and exploits mismatches (guarded by smaller wings or slower forwards). She grabs offensive boards for second chances and uses the high post to create opportunities. Defensively she protects the rim, reads passing lanes, gets deflections, and generates extra possessions. An athletic player that creates mismatches and is a real threat, keep an eye out for her this season.     A'laya is a center that brings size and strength to the paint. She works both in static post ups and on the move — whether cutting, rolling off screens, or getting the ball downhill. She shows good awareness of rebounding position, and her post moves are effective. As a Patriot League All-Star (2024-25), she's already proven she can produce in big moments. A standout player to watch who is well on her way to becoming a foundational paint anchor.     Eileen is elite on the boards, on both ends. She brings physicality, secures tough rebounds, turns offensive misses into second chances, and carries a vocal presence in the paint. Defensively she deters shots at the rim, shows good footwork inside, and uses up-and-under moves with touch around the basket. Her size, strength, and ability to do the intangibles make her a strong prospect — a defensive anchor who consistently impacts the inside game.
