Area Codes Hidden 20 Showcase 2028 Standouts

Area Codes Basketball held their annual Hidden 20 Showcase on Sunday, September 14th, in Phoenix, Arizona. Many of the top players in Arizona were in attendance along with some off the radar players that were able to capture the attention of local scouts and college coaches. Here are the Sophomores that stood out among the pack.    [player_tooltip player_id='921163' first='Malia' last='Yazzie'] had a terrific performance at the Showcase. She showed the ability to handle the ball well under pressure in the open floor, and she also displayed an excellent shooting touch from all 3 levels. She has a very high basketball IQ for a Sophomore, and she has a confident presence about her. She is a very good defender that can play multiple positions. She will definitely play on the next level and has the ability to be one of the top players in the state at her position if she continues to develop.     [player_tooltip player_id='936853' first='Serenity' last='Hampton'] was outstanding all day at the Showcase, earning MVP honors in the final game. She has an incredible upside. She is big, athletic, and she can run the floor. She is a high energy player that is always communicating with teammates. She is an excellent defender and she can play multiple positions on both ends of the floor. She is a good rebounder and she is skilled around the basket on the offensive end. She is already holding a D1 offer from San Jose State, and will to continue garner national attention.     [player_tooltip player_id='1050014' first='Sophia' last='Agullard'] is a very talented guard that is scratching the surface on her potential. She is an excellent shooter and can score on all 3 levels. She is deadly accurate from the 3-point line. She has excellent handles and she sees the floor well as a distributor. She is a solid defender that can guard both guard positions and she can rebound well for a guard. She is a very hard worker and she will be one of the top guards in Arizona by her Senior year.     [player_tooltip player_id='1212173' first='Lourdes' last='Carranza'] was someone that stood out to me right away at the Showcase. For a young player she showed tremendous confidence. She is very well coached (Mother Desirae Carranza is the Head Coach) and plays in a program that is one of the best in the state. She showed tremendous ball handling ability and she really sees the floor well for a young point guard. She is a good shooter that will continue to develop and she also showed the ability to drive the ball to the basket. She is a good defender that communicates well and moves well off the ball. She will be one to watch in Arizona for the next 3 years.     [player_tooltip player_id='929981' first='Jayda' last='Jordan'] was one of the most intriguing prospects at the Showcase. She is very athletic for her size, and she showed that she has the ability to score inside the paint and in traffic. She defends and rebounds very well and she can guard forwards and centers. She can shoot the mid range jump shot at a high level, and she has a nice shooting touch for a player her size. She has an incredible upside to her if she keeps developing and could end up as one of the top recruited prospects in the state.
