Freshman Showcase: Team 4 Evaluations

Our Freshman Showcase housed tons of great talent that competed at a high level. Team #4 was made of high level athletes that showed he ability to defend, shoot, create and get out in transition. Here is a look at the athletes that made up Team 4.     Mariela Gilmore, 5'5, PG, St. Mary's Colgan, MO Phenom Springfield   Solid PG with good handle that allowed her to get down hill to score from either direction and create for teammates. She showed her ability to shoot the ball by knocking down the three consistently throughout the showcase. Good on ball defender that used her quickness and instincts to harass opposing guards.     [player_tooltip player_id='1304034' first='Aleyiah' last='Harris'], 5'8, Wing, St. Teresa Academy, MO Phenom   Super athletic wing with good size. She showed her ability to handle the ball by pushing it in transition as well as in the half where space was tighter. She picked created off the bounce and was able to get to down hill for layups but also showed he ability to create space for midrange shots and the three ball.     [player_tooltip player_id='1313319' first='Amiyah' last='Carter'], 5'9, Combo Guard, SM South, MO Phenom   Lengthy combo guard that guarded the ball well picking the pockets of the offense and taking it down for easy layups. She showed her ability to score at all three levels as well as create for teammates. Great ball IQ that will continue to get better with time and experience. Very skilled in terms of being able to use both hands with floaters and different finishes around the rim. Rebounded very well from the guard position on both ends.     Zoey Page, 5'5, Combo Guard, Lee Summit West, MO Phenom   One of the top guards in the entire camp. An aggressive lock down defender that didn't shy away from any of challenges she was faced with in the camp. Had a level of physicality that puts fear in opponents hearts. Handles the ball well and gets down hill when she wants but was unselfish enough to create for teammates when she didn't having scoring opportunities. Showed the ability to knock down the three with some consistency throughout the camp.     Taytum Schnakenberg, 5'8, Wing, Liberty North, MO Phenom   Solid on ball defender with good length at the wing which allowed her to get lots of deflections and steals for easy baskets. Good shooter from midrange and from deep. Moves well without the ball which allowed her to get easy baskets off of backdoor cuts and off ball movement.     Abigal Tabeta, 5'10, Forward, Ursuline   Good sized forward, that showed great ability to guard on the perimeter and inside. She showed good range on her shot and from midrange. Very unselfish and played well without the ball.     Aubrey Grimshaw, 5'11, Forward, Francis Howell North, MO Phenom   Good sized forward with good instincts which helped her be one of the leading rebounders in the showcase. Ran the floor well and showed the ability to step out on the perimeter and shoot the ball.     Aubrey Baker, 5'4, Guard Jackson High School   High IQ guard, with a good level of toughness and physicality. Finished well around the basket with either hand and was able to get to line and complete 3 point opportunities. She moved and played well without the ball, getting out in transition to find herself open for easy layups.
