Key Highlights of Tennessee’s Upcoming Basketball Season

This year promises to be an exciting one, albeit filled with considerable uncertainty. That can be a good thing in that we will have a new crop of girls who will pop up on the scene as they contribute to their program's success. I may not be saying this right, but it's now time for new players to become household names. Maybe some kids graduated, and now it's the players' turn. Maybe it was this past travel ball season when this particular kid had their breakthrough. She has solid handles, can exploit a defense by getting paint touches and finishing at the rim, or she can dial it from deep and knock down the 3 ball. I love her defensive ability and how she can gain extra possessions for her ball club. She has a keen understanding of the game and brings energy and effort into the fold. She plays tough D, communicates effectively, and she will be front and center at the helm of everything her team will do. Her style of play is crazy good, as she is an offensive threat from multiple spots on the floor. This kid can elevate with the best of them. I'm talking about a pretty jumper that finds the bottom of the net at a consistent clip. What people better take notice of is her defense; she is no joke on that end of the floor. Someone who creates chaos, this young lady does that. A heady ballplayer who competes on both ends of the court. Has a nice jumper, can score from multiple levels, but what sets her apart from others is her foot speed. Her ability to utilize her quickness is one of her strengths. Has nice to the basket moves, can put it on the floor from the high post, and score it. What I love about her the most is her ability to keep plays/ possessions alive, especially on the offensive end. She has a knack for being around the ball. She is a glass cleaner, so rebounding is her forte.
