Gorman, ranked in the 2027 Top 100, is a fiery guard who plays fast and fearless. Pictured above, Aniyrah averaged 8.7 points per game last winter and has since grown into a more consistent playmaker. On Sunday she forced turnovers, grabbed steals, and showed off her mid-range touch, quickness, and intensity. She attacked one-on-one time and again, showed that she can distribute effectively, and elevated well. Vocal and animated, Aniyrah combines a healthy dose of swagger with emerging leadership skills. Her energy is contagious, her defense disruptive, and she makes a difference at both ends of the floor.

As a top 15 prospect in the Class of 2027 it's obvious that Sexton has the size, strength and skill to compete at the Division 1 level in college. Mariah dealt with some health issues last year at STMA, limiting her production somewhat. When she's healthy, Mariah can dominate. On Sunday she stood tall against other top posts and delivered an impressive game-winning basket through heavy traffic in the final seconds. Sexton scores consistently with either hand over the rim, rebounds with tenacity, and uses her power effectively in the paint. Mariah, who is now at Maple Grove, played relaxed and confident at the Expo and the results spoke volumes.

Slusarczyk's breakout 2025 season has vaulted her into the Top 100 at #77, with her arrow pointing up. She had a dominant summer with the 2027 Freeze squad, earning honorable mention status for the Prep Girls Hoops AAU Breakout Player of the Year award. On Sunday coaches saw Maiya be strong and active, running the floor at pace, scoring through contact, and playing with relentless effort. Offensively she's has been growing in confidence, knocking down shots and putting the ball in the basket. Defensively she blocks shots, tips passes, and rebounds with authority.

Backer earned her way into the Prep Girls Hoops rankings this year. Observers at the Expo saw why. Backer has so much length, growing confidence and a more assertive presence on the court now than before. Evie usually plays the game with simplicity and efficiency, moving without the ball and scoring as needed. With Stars Lindahl this summer she closed the AAU season strong, including a 20-point outing against Freeze 2027 where she hit four threes. Competition for minutes is fierce at Wayzata, but Backer's length, mobility, and versatile scoring ability give her a chance to earn opportunities.

We should also mention that [player_tooltip player_id='1265103' first='Farrah' last='Thomas'] of Mountain Iron-Buhl was part of Team 2. She's an elite 2029 who participated in the Freshman Showcase last week but had to leave early due to a collision that required some dental intervention. Since she missed half of the day we asked Farrah to come back and play on Sunday. Click here to read her evaluation from last week.
