Sophomore ID Camp: Team 2 evaluations, part 2

More than 80 competitors put their game on display Sunday in Maple Grove at the Prep Girls Hoops Sophomore ID Camp. We're doing two-part, team-by-team evaluations of all 10 rosters. Here's part 2 of our Team 2 evaluations.    One of four impressive wings from team two, Ritchie is strong with the ball and controls it well through traffic, which gives her the ability to grab a defensive rebound and push the pace in transition. She's crafty when she gets to the rim and is a capable shooter out of catch-and-shoot situations. Her length and athleticism also make her an impact defender with the ability to make things happen on that end.     One of the smoothest scorers in the gym on Sunday, Christiansen (pictured above) is aggressive and confident with the ball in her hands. She has a smooth handle using both hands that allows her to attack all areas of the floor and she can knock down shots from all over. She's an efficient attacker with long strides and sees the floor well when kicking it out off penetration. Her length and activity make her a very solid defender and she does a solid job of guarding with her feet rather than her hands. She's the real deal.     Sherill is very strong around the rim and does a great job of clearing space in order to get off tough finishes in the painted area. She attacks the glass and does a nice job of pushing the pace in transition then getting all the way to the rim or creating opportunities for other people. Her strength makes her a really tough cover for anyone when she's driving to the rim.     Ross' ability to handle through traffic and finish through contact make her difficult for anyone to guard, especially smaller players trying to contain her 5-foot-9 frame. She does a great job of clearing space around the rim and can power up through arms to finish tough shots in the lane. She also goes to get the ball off the glass rather than letting it come to her then isn't afraid to push the ball down the floor herself and either go all the way to the rim or create an opportunity for someone else.
