Over the past few years, Utah girls' basketball has really taken a major leap in play and the prospects that it is producing. From North to South and East to West, Utah has had some talent in different classifications. You have players like Kennedy McQueen come out of small rural Utah, as she played 2A ball but was able to be among the best to play at the University of Utah. Then you head to Utah County, and you have legends like Jennifer Hamson, who not only played D1 volleyball but also basketball at BYU. Today we try and take a stab at bringing you the best players in Utah County and bring them to light. Regardless of classification, we try and sort through the different players and come up with a list of the best 10 players in the county.

Here's a plan for the introduction:

Today, we're excited to spotlight the top 10 basketball prospects in Utah County. We've scoured the local scene, looking beyond classifications to identify the most talented players. Prepare to be impressed by these rising stars! Utah County starts at The Point of the Mountain in Lehi and all the way down to Payson. Let's take a look.

#1 [player_tooltip player_id='873276' first='Sutton' last='Villa']: 2028 C, Pleasant Grove

Villa's rise over the spring and summer is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to her potential and the development that she is getting daily. In a few months, when the season tips off, you can really expect the best rim protector in the West to showcase why she has earned all the D1 offers she has racked up. Her offensive game is starting to extend from the paint, and she actually has a good-looking 3-point shot. Villa has time to elevate her stock nationally, and it would not surprise us if she cracks the top 5 nationally.

#2 [player_tooltip player_id='796745' first='Kennedy' last='Woolston']: 2026 W/SG, Lone Peak

Woolston was a standout player for MW Premier during the spring and summer, demonstrating exceptional shooting accuracy and efficiency. Several games in which she scored over 30 points led to increased interest from colleges. Her relentless energy and impactful presence on both ends of the court make her one of the most driven players, showcasing her versatility as a high school player, with the potential to excel as a 2 or 3 in college.

#3 [player_tooltip player_id='796796' first='Tabitha' last='Clark']: 2026 SF, Pleasant Grove

Clark has been one of the steadily rising players in the state, and with a lot of potential, Clark will start her collegiate career at Utah Valley University. With enough perimeter game and inside game, she is a versatile player who can become a game-changer. Even with her rise, she has a lot of potential.

#4 Madeline Pope : 2027 SF/SG, Lone Peak

Pope continues to get better every time we see her on the floor. She is shooting the ball well and handling it well. If she can get more and more reps at the guard position, she will continue to elevate her stock. Love the potential. Currently, she holds an offer from the Air Force, and the way she is performing there is no reason she could not garner more interest and offers along the way.

#5 [player_tooltip player_id='825009' first='Leah' last='Bailey']: 2027 PG, Maple Mountain

Bailey is a player that teams have tried different things to slow down, and she seems to find ways to score. She is a player who could easily fit in on an NJCAA D1 program, and she is a D2 player with ease. Her shooting and ball handling are underrated, and in time, she will get the notoriety she needs to pick up offers. Bailey could be among the top scorers across the state regardless of classification.

#6 [player_tooltip player_id='950220' first='Kelcee' last='Rasmussen']: 2028 F, Lehi

Rasmussen has the length and the skill to play at the highest level at the 4. With a 6'2 frame and pick-and-pop ability, Rasmussen could turn heads this coming season. Development has been key for her as she has a very fluid shot. You can see that there is more confidence when she catches in the perimeter. In time, she will turn into a grab-and-go forward.

#7 [player_tooltip player_id='873278' first='Jordan' last='Moeaki']: 2029 PG, Lone Peak

One of the most impressive incoming freshmen in the state. College coaches are already taking notice, and do not be surprised if she cracks the starting lineup at Lone Peak; they are loaded. Either way, she is going to get a lot of playing time. Moeaki has the poise you need in a lead guard and the athleticism to break defenders down and create her own shot. The potential of Moeaki moving forward is off the charts, and it is going to be fun to watch.

#8 [player_tooltip player_id='873277' first='Tasi' last='Galeai']: 2028 SF, Timpview

The Timpview wing showed last year how valuable she can be. Her length and shooting ability pull out some of the taller post players from the paint, and that could cause problems out in the perimeter. Galeai has a quick first step, and when she catches the ball on the move, she can be very tough to stop. She has a next-level skill set, and this coming season, we will have a better understanding of what level that might be.

#9 [player_tooltip player_id='849040' first='Lave' last='Holdcraft']: 2026 SF, Lone Peak

Holdcraft is a throwback blue-collar player who is low maintenance. She defends 1-5, she rebounds, and she is a ball mover. Holdcraft is easily an NJCAA D1 type of player that will likely have to play the 3, but can defend the 4's because of her strength. Holdcraft has been improving her offensive game, and if she can shoot the ball better this coming season, she gives the defending 6A champions an even better chance to repeat.

#10 [player_tooltip player_id='875181' first='Huni' last='Folau']: 2028 PG, Lone Peak

Not only is Lone Peak young, but they have depth. Folau might not even start, and she will be a major disruptor on defense. She can really cause problems for the opposing team's offense, as she can really remove a player from the game with how she plays defense. Folau
