About Sutton
Expert Analysis
Tonia Ziter | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
As one of the top recruits in her class, Sutton naturally drew a strong presence from college coaches, which in turn helped shine a light on others sharing the floor with her.
She showed flashes of elite play throughout the weekend, continuing to grow into both her size and her role. As her development progresses, those moments are becoming more consistent, reinforcing why she’s such a highly regarded prospect.

is one of the most imposing interior presences in the state and a matchup problem every time she steps on the floor. At 6’6”, she changes the geometry of the game on both ends. Defensively, she’s an elite rim protector who alters far more shots than the stat sheet shows. Guards have to rethink drives, and opposing posts are forced to finish over length that very few high school players can replicate in practice. With continued development in strength and face-up skill, she projects as a true next-level post who can impact a college program early in her career.

It’s no coincidence that the most heavily covered player in the Class of 2025 has also become the premier prospect in the sophomore group. Her combination of physical tools, skill set, and game impact gives her one of the highest long-term ceilings in the class, and with significant development still ahead, her trajectory at the next level continues to point upward.

. Ironically, her battles with our top-voted player could shape the landscape of 5A basketball for the next few years. Sutton’s game continues to evolve—she’s adding quickness and defensive grit to her already impressive size, a combination that’s rare and dangerous for opponents to handle.

Villa is another player who is ready to leave her mark on the Utah basketball scene. You can be sure she will likely lead the state in blocked shots. My prediction coming from me is that she will have a 10-block game this year. If she controls the paint like we know she can opn both ends and then sprinkle a few jumpers in here and there and you might have one of the best players in the country on the floor Villa is a big time candidate for player of the year.
