She was invited to the 318 Academy and immediately following the camp she got to work during the summer basketball session. Davis is a shifty guard with good size and an elusive handle. Her game is mature because at a young age she has embraced the physical part of the game. She is a motivated defender and can be trusted to score at three levels as an underclassman. She plays with no fear and without inhibition. She opted to skip AAU this summer to focus on development and her summer hoops showing was beyond promise. She assumed point guard duties at Captain Shreve, and was impressive in each contest. She is a next level talent with an unmatched love for the game along with a tireless work ethic. She will be sidelined with an injury, but her potential remains. There is no doubt she will take this time to improve on basketball IQ, and the mental part of the game. Over the summer I was able to watch her play and her ceiling is high. She is a natural hooper that displays comfort and poise on the court. She has a simple game with solid skill. Drive, shoot, defend. She will be a big part of Hamilton Christian as they look to be one of the top teams in the state, and could be the catalyst for a deeper playoff run than last season. She is long, athletic, skilled and fearless. She is a high level rebounder, an elite finisher and a focused competitor. Her move to West Monroe makes the Lady Rebels a team that could see the most improvement from last season. Her arrival could shift 5A fortunes as she brings an offensive weapon that will surely frustrate opposing teams. She earned All-State honors as a Freshman.
