Kansas continues to pump out some of the top girls basketball players in the country which means they are typically starting the development process at a very young age. At this day and age skill and IQ has no limitation. This means some younger athletes are competing at high levels. This article is the first look at some of the class of 2030 forwards and post in the state of Kansas.

Gwyn Wayland - 5'9, Forward, Prince of Peace Catholic, Mokan Girls

Gwyn is a do-it-all type of player. One who, at the end of the game has stuffed the stat sheet. She plays with an extremely high motor and energy level. She's very versatile on both ends; she can guard one through five on the defensive end, take you off the bounce and get to the basket, or put on the block and post you.

Nora Yeldell - 6'2, Post, Frontier Trail Middle, Mokan Girls

Good-sized post with good agility and speed at the position. Uses her length well to block shots and to rebound out of her area. She shows the potential to be able to put it on the floor and shoot it from the midrange and behind the arch with more practice and repetition. I look for her to be more versatile as she gains more experience.

[player_tooltip player_id='1245227' first='Camryn' last='Brown'] - 5'9, Small Forward, Shawnee Heights Middle, MO Phenom

A talented, multi-sport athlete with tons of athleticism. She's an aggressive downhill driver who finishes well around the rim. She has good size and strength, which mixed with her agility, allows her to be a great rebounder and shot blocker.

Ryleigh Reed - 5'11, Post, Pleasant Ridge Middle, [program_tooltip program_id='712586' first='KC' last='Dream']

True post player that protects the paint at all costs. Reed is a great shot blocker who does an excellent job of timing shots to deflect them out of the air. She's a great rebounder on both sides of the ball. She runs the floor well and is really effective in the low post in the half-court. She has an array of moves and finishes with both hands.

[player_tooltip player_id='1245454' first='Kamryn' last='Carlson'] - 6'1, Forward, Seaman Middle School, MO Phenom

Carlson is a forward who runs the floor well and does a great job on the glass. She shows the ability to put it on the floor as well as shoot the ball. She's unselfish, has a good feel for the game, and looks to make the right play with every touch she gets.
