’26 Shooting Guards Looking to Leave Their Mark

There are tons of girls across the state who can score the basketball. They are the leading scoring catalyst for their team nightly, making shots from multiple spots on the floor. The 2026 class has tons of kids who, no matter where they are on the floor, shoot it with confidence, and the ball finds the bottom of the net more often than not.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>In the 2026 class, I will say there are a ton of girls who can shoot lights out but are also slowly creeping up the leaderboards in scoring. If they haven't already, they are close to eclipsing the 1000-point scoring mark. To accomplish such a feat, you have to be someone who consistently shows up nightly, leading the charge. In this state, we have shooting guards who can do just that, be high-volume scoring threats that can propel a ball club.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Looking at the 2026 rankings, I see plenty of shooting guards who are difference-makers. Kids who can spark a run at a memento's notice, giving their team confidence along the way. Once these kids get going, they are hard to slow down. Don't get me wrong, we have some lethal shooters such as [player_tooltip player_id='636390' first='Andrea' last='Flores'], AC Shirley, and [player_tooltip player_id='816585' first='KJ' last='McNealy'], just to name a few. This kid knows how to fill it up and sparks energy and excitement through her ball club. She had a great summer, has been putting work in this offseason, and is ready to suit up one last go around on these Tennessee courts. Taylor is going to have a monstrous year this upcoming season. She is on a mission not only to help the Lady Bees get back to state contention but also to accomplish various feats along the way. From scoring title to achieving collegiate opportunities, this young lady will have a chip on her shoulder as she gears up for the season. This kid is a player and one who can play on both ends of the floor. A solid ball player who is the glue to a talented Lady Burros program. She can score from multiple spots on the floor; however, her defense also stands out. She is a kid who is going to check every stat line there is. Look for her to not only fill it up scoring in double digits, but also neutralize the other team's best player. Her ability to get her feet set quickly marks her as one of the best in the state from deep. Coming off screens to catching and shooting, when she receives the ball and lets it fly, the ball seems to find the bottom of the net. From multiple spots along the arc, she has been able to dial it from deep consistently throughout her career. This summer, she added another attacking component to her game, putting the ball on the floor, getting into a favorable position to either finish at the rim or knock down a jumper. Now, she becomes a kid who can score it multiple ways, someone who will be the leading scoring threat for the Lady Irish.
