Two weekends of hoops at the 3x3 Hoop League are in the books. From the emergence of several class of 2029 talents to a surprise visit from WNBA star and Oregon basketball royalty Cameron Brink, day 2 was one to remember. But as the varsity teams continue to fill up the nets on court 1, a team of up-and-coming Clackamas Cavaliers made the strongest impression.

Clackamas was the team to beat last season. The 2024-25 Cavs' star-studded cast of eight seniors included ESPN's national no. 1 recruit Jazzy Davidson and four-star Oregon commit Sara Barhoum. The team earned the top ranking in the state, was ranked no. 8 nationally at one point, and took a 25-game winning streak into the 6A state championship, where it was toppled by Tualatin in a thriller.

All the while, [player_tooltip player_id='1312930' first='Lily' last='Oien'], [player_tooltip player_id='837904' first='Tatum' last='Landolt'] and Skyler Le sat and waited their turn. The class of 2027 teammates haven't seen the floor much yet, but this year should be a different story as they look to lead a new team with few other returners.

At the 3x3 Hoop League, the trio plays together on the Clack Attack team alongside their new teammate, junior Forest Grove transfer [player_tooltip player_id='832060' first='Savannah' last='Dahl']. They stood out among the pack with elite chemistry and scoring ability on day 2, instilling optimism that the new-look Cavaliers will once again be a 6A contender.

Don't be surprised if Dahl replaces Barhoum's shooting production next season. She took a while to heat up from deep during her first game of the day, but she just kept launching spot-up threes with her quick windup and release at the slightest hint of space. When she did catch fire, it was easy to see why she has the green light — Dahl took over the second game with a flurry of shots, including the game-winner to defeat Stayton's team. Aside from her soft touch and college range, she has the mark of a truly elite shooter: the strength and conditioning to get her shot off immediately after sprinting around the court. Her height, as well as the elevation she gets on her jump, also makes her hard to block.

Oien also found plenty of success from deep on day 2, and I'm excited about her potential as a three-level scorer. She pairs her jumpshot with downhill driving ability that forces the defense to pick their poison. She looked confident with the ball in hands and dribbling with either hand. Several tenacious finishes at the rim showcased her strength and body control. Oien also sealed Clack Attack's first win of the day with a three-pointer against the Beaverton Ballers.

Landolt plays a versatile, cerebral game that takes her team to another level. She always has her eyes up, scanning for cutters and open pockets of the floor. She puts the right amount of velocity and touch on her passes, and she can fit them into tight windows from difficult angles. Her left-handedness makes defenders think extra hard about how to play her, and while she typically looks to pass first, she can drain threes when she wants to. Defensively, she does the dirty work and can outphysical opponents both larger and smaller than her.

Le deserves more flowers as a skilled and scrappy guard who can attack the rim in a hurry. Her lightning-quick dribbling bag allows her to get to wherever she wants on the court. She knew her teammates had it going, so she made sure to get them the ball, but when she got chances to make plays herself, she seized them. Her most memorable play of the day was a wrong-foot finish off the glass on a cross-court drive with her defender right in her grill.
