Danyle's All-Showcase Third Team

The PGH Michigan Expo tipped off on Saturday, September 27th, showcasing 80 talented prospects in a full day of competitive 3v3 and 5v5 matchups. My coverage centered on the players representing Teams 1, 2, 7, 9, and 10, and the level of play did not disappoint. Out of a deep pool of standouts, several athletes separated themselves with their performance, earning recognition on my Third Team Honors list.    Emma earned Third Team selection honors as one of Team 9's standout performers at the PGH Expo, making her mark with a relentless all-around game. On defense, she set the tone with active hands, quick anticipation, and nonstop energy, creating turnovers and forcing opponents into uncomfortable situations. Offensively, Emma attacked the rim with power and composure, finishing through contact and using smart footwork to convert in traffic. She also excelled in transition, making sharp, accurate passes to set up teammates and keep the pace flowing. Beyond the highlight plays, Emma's commitment to the little things—crashing the boards, boxing out, and hustling for every loose ball—made her a consistent and impactful presence throughout the day, proving herself as one of the most valuable players on Team 9.     Michaela earned 3rd team selection honors as one of Team 7's top performers at the PGH Expo, showcasing a versatile and impactful all-around game. Offensively, she knocked down shots from long range with confidence and consistently created opportunities for teammates with sharp, accurate passes in transition. She attacked the basket with strength and poise, finishing through contact and using a quick, deceptive crossover to get by defenders. Her ability to score in multiple ways kept opponents on their heels throughout the day. On defense, Michaela's active hands and quick instincts disrupted ball-handlers, while her commitment to boxing out and controlling the boards helped her team secure extra possessions. Her energy, skill, and high basketball IQ made her a standout contributor, and she left no doubt that she can be a dynamic presence at the next level.     Adalyn earned 3rd team selection honors as one of Team 10's top performers at the PGH Expo, standing out for her skill, energy, and two-way impact. Running the point, she showcased a quick and decisive crossover that allowed her to blow by defenders and attack the rim with authority, often finishing with a smooth floater or clever change-of-pace layup. She demonstrated relentless effort on the glass, securing numerous offensive rebounds and converting them into second-chance points or kick-out opportunities for teammates. On defense, Adalyn's active hands, anticipation, and quick feet disrupted passing lanes and forced turnovers, constantly creating opportunities for her team. Her combination of playmaking, scoring ability, defensive awareness, and tireless hustle made her one of the most well-rounded and impactful players on Team 10.     Sadie earned 3rd team selection honors as one of Team 2's top performers at the PGH Expo, making a strong impact with her speed, playmaking, and versatile scoring ability. She consistently pushed the pace in transition, turning her relentless hustle into easy baskets for herself and creating opportunities for teammates by reading the defense and delivering precise passes. Around the rim, Sadie showcased creativity and touch, finishing with smooth floaters, clever spin moves, and smart ball placement to avoid shot-blockers. She also demonstrated range from the perimeter, confidently knocking down a corner three when the defense sagged. Defensively, her quickness and anticipation allowed her to disrupt passing lanes and generate turnovers, fueling her team's transition game. Sadie's combination of speed, skill, and basketball IQ made her one of the most dynamic and effective guards on display.     Ella earned 3rd team selection honors as a top performer for Team 7 at the PGH Expo, making a significant impact through her energy, effort, and attention to the little things. She consistently hustled on every possession, diving on the floor for loose balls and battling for offensive rebounds to generate extra scoring opportunities. On defense, Ella's intensity and focus made life difficult for opposing guards, as she contested shots, denied passing lanes, and stayed disciplined in help-side rotations. Offensively, she displayed a versatile scoring touch, finishing strong around the rim in traffic and stretching defenses with accurate shots from beyond the arc. Beyond the stat sheet, her leadership, relentless motor, and ability to contribute in multiple ways gave Team 7 a boost every time she was on the floor, solidifying her as a true all-around performer.     Sophia earned 3rd team selection honors as one of Team 7's top performers at the PGH Expo, standing out with her scoring versatility and high-level all-around game. She consistently stretched defenses with her deep shooting, knocking down threes with rhythm and confidence, while also attacking the rim with strength and finishing through contact. In transition, Sophia was a dual threat—racing down the floor for easy scores and finding open teammates with sharp, accurate passes. On defense, her quick hands and anticipation disrupted opponents' offensive flow, generating turnovers that led to fast-break opportunities. Beyond her scoring and defensive presence, she demonstrated smart decision-making, poise under pressure, and a high basketball IQ that allowed her to impact the game in multiple ways, solidifying her status as one of the standout guards of the day.
