The season is starting in just over a month, and I'd like to begin releasing my preseason All-State Teams this week, starting with the D5 All-State teams and progressing to the D1 All-State Teams on Friday. I'll have a first-team and second-team, along with honorable mentions in each division around the state. Before the season starts, I will also update rankings in the 26, 27, and 28 classes, as well as the Watch List for the class of 2029.

[player_tooltip player_id='533073' first='Izabel' last='Durst'], sr., Barneveld

Durst led the Eagles to the D5 State Title Game last March and has been a standout in the 2026 class since starting her career. The left-handed guard is among the most creative players in the state and can score at an elite level. She will give her team a chance to win games whenever she's on the floor. Durst is also the best ball handler in D5, in my opinion.

[player_tooltip player_id='751245' first='Avery' last='Glenz'], jr., Eleva-Strum

Glenz was at the center of the most impressive single-season turnaround that I have seen in my time. Glenz was the heart and soul of a Cardinals team that went from winning five games in the 2023-24 season to being in a Sectional Championship game last winter. Glenz is one of the more intriguing small-school players in the Northwestern part of the state.

[player_tooltip player_id='767257' first='Kylie' last='Butler'], sr., Argyle/Pecatonica

The Milwaukee commit has played in the D5 State Tournament the last time Argyle/Pecatonica was in D5 two years ago, and has been a reliable lead guard for her group since transferring in from Darlington. She directs her team's offense well and has led one of the most impressive offenses in Southwest Wisconsin over the past few seasons.

[player_tooltip player_id='876098' first='Jaedyn' last='Zdroik'], jr., Pacelli

Statistically, there may not be a player who has put together a more impressive first two seasons of their high school career. Zdroik is a triple-double threat in Division 5 and will be a player who could end the season as the player who leads her team to a win on Championship Sunday. There aren't many players like her.

[player_tooltip player_id='842237' first='Andrea' last='Waldera'], sr., Blair-Taylor

The Blair-Tayor post player was a starter on the Wildcats team that played for a state title against McDonell Central in 2023. Waldera has developed into the best post player in D5, and the multi-sport athlete is also among the top defensive anchors in the state. She's a rangey athletic player who will impress people on the defensive end.
