I attended the Expo up in Appleton, Wisconsin. I'll begin going through a handful of teams that I watched play today and highlighting the players I observed throughout the morning and early afternoon. I thought it was a productive day, as I had the opportunity to meet some players from around the state, and I found it to be my most enjoyable Expo since attending the event for the first time in 2021. Today, we'll look at Team Seven and discuss the players from that unit.

[player_tooltip player_id='1241183' first='Savanah' last='Kemnitz']

Kemnitz was a more physical wing or frontcourt player who I thought had a solid time in Appleton. I thought she did her best work away from the ball and worked hard to create passing lanes for her teammates to get the ball to her. I also liked that she was confident enough to shoot the ball when she found open pockets of space on the perimeter.

[player_tooltip player_id='883074' first='Liliana' last='Verplancke']

The Grafton native is a player who has built confidence in her game on the offensive end of the floor. She is an athletic, undersized forward who adds defensive versatility on the defensive end and has the foot speed to switch onto guards. I thought that she also did an excellent job of attacking off the dribble and making plays with the ball, attacking the basket. She is an intriguing talent who can catch some attention this winter with the Black Hawks.

[player_tooltip player_id='874397' first='Izzy' last='Malloy']

I thought that Malloy was effective on both ends of the floor when I watched her play in the 5v5 portion of the event in Appleton. The multi-sport athlete played hard on both ends of the floor, and that effort led to her making second-effort plays that helped force turnovers or stops on the defensive end. I also think she brings some physicality to the backcourt in her minutes.

[player_tooltip player_id='1232213' first='Peyton' last='Cochenet']

The Mukwonago native is a player who will start drawing attention from coaches at the next level over the next few seasons. She possesses the size and skillset that will help her earn the attention of coaches at the next level. She has the physical tools to play the five, and the versatility to make some plays as a small-ball four. Cochnet passes the ball well and can get her teammates involved on the offensive end or play in a motion offense. The ability to space the floor that she boasts is the icing on the cake of what she brings to the floor.
