Robert’s Pre-Season 2A All-State Picks

KSHSAA's&nbsp;<a href="https://www.kshsaa.org/Public/General/Classifications.cfm">2025-2026 Classifications and Enrollments</a> shows 8 of the 64 teams included to be new. Four, Atchison County; Belle Plaine; Humboldt and St. Marys, joined from 3A. Northern Heights, Oxford, Rawlins County and Washington County move up from 1A Division I. Selecting a pre-season set of all-state picks is especially difficult this year due to the large number of returning all-state selections. Every first team player chosen by KBCA and KSHSAACovered and nine of thirteen SIK first teamers returns. She is one of the most experienced players on a team that reached the state tournament the past two seasons. The very talented Smith brings speed, athleticism and finishing ability against challengers. The concensus first team pick by KBCA, KSHSAACovered, SIK and Flint Hills League has long impressed with her footwork on both ends, smart use of her size to go either way with the ball in the paint, her speed and her steady play. I saw her battle a few powerful centers over the summer and she held her own. She heads into her senior season having already poured in nearly 1,300 points.
