Tampa Catholic, led by [player_tooltip player_id='439459' first='Ashley' last='Knox'], the standout player, has emerged as the top team in Tampa. Knox, who has committed to the Auburn Tigers for her collegiate career, averaged an impressive 16 points, 4.4 assists, and 4 rebounds per game last season. With an even more challenging schedule this season, Tampa Catholic is poised to make a strong run at the regionals.

Steinbrenner's team, coming off a remarkable 26-4 season last year and securing two regional victories, is poised for another successful season. They have returned their top three players: Naomi Parker, the twin sisters Samantha and [player_tooltip player_id='743523' first='Sarah' last='Coble'], and they appear even stronger after the summer training. With these three key contributors as well as promising college prospects, the team is expected to make significant waves and establish itself as another formidable force in the Tampa area.

Sumner, having finished the previous season with a 16-11 record, is poised to build on that success and make a strong push for districts and regionals. Incoming freshmen Kendall Curtis is expected to make a significant impact on the varsity team, while returning player Mariah Farmer will continue to be a key contributor to the team's continued success. This team promises to be an exciting one to watch throughout the entire season.

Chamberlain had an exceptional season last year, clinching 20 wins and only suffering 7 losses. [player_tooltip player_id='1231140' first='Ellayna' last='Stephens'] and Alyssa Dejesus are the team's standout returning contributors. Ellayna, who led the team in scoring with 557 total points, averaged an impressive 23.2 points per game. She also contributed 5 steals and 2.4 assists. Alyssa, entering her junior year, aims to boost her average points per game and leverage her lockdown defense to help Chamberlain secure more victories. We predict that Chamberlain will make another deep run this season.

East Bay, a team from southeast Hillsborough County, was a sleeper team. [player_tooltip player_id='1218142' first='Za'myria' last='King'], a standout player, led the team with an exceptional junior season. She scored an impressive 505 points, averaging 19.4 points per game. Additionally, she recorded 5.3 steals and 4.7 rebounds, while shooting an incredible 41% from the field. East Bay aims to replicate its success and win another district championship, ultimately making a run for the state title. This team is definitely worth watching throughout the season.
