Now with the season underway and my state championship predictions posted, here I wanted to check out who could be some underdog teams to keep an eye on as the season gets underway.

3A State Title Prediction: https://prepgirlshoops.com/2025/11/devins-state-title-predictions-class-3a/

Seattle Prep - Record Last Year: 21-10 - Lost in Quarterfinals

With some key pieces of the team graduating last year, this is still a team to keep an eye on. [player_tooltip player_id='688514' first='Kylin' last='Kinchen'] is a player who scores buckets well and knows how to be a good leader for the team. She hits deep shots, gets deep in the paint, and finishes through traffic. [player_tooltip player_id='751201' first='Addy' last='Jack'] is back as well and also a player who scores at all three levels. She sets solid screens too, helping in all aspects on the court. [player_tooltip player_id='1273722' first='Hope' last='Renners'] is an underclassman to keep an eye out for too.

Roosevelt - Record Last Year: 19-10 - Lost in Round of 12

This squad will see about 4-5 players graduate off from last season but with 2 D1 players on the roster, they will be a big problem once again. [player_tooltip player_id='580530' first='Ellery' last='Burke-Brown'] is a guard who knows how to break down defenders and get buckets at a high rate. She will help lead the offense alongside fellow D1 guard, [player_tooltip player_id='580529' first='Giselle' last='Dollar']. Dollar is a dynamic guard who has a high IQ and understands how to get her teammates involved easily. She gets buckets at all 3 levels and is a player to keep an eye on.

Enumclaw - Record Last Year: 11-9 - Did not make state

Enumclaw is only going to see one player from last year not return, which is a great thing. They will have solid experience and with Hailey Martel and Kaidyn Johnson, with Blake Hanson potentially getting involved as well. The biggest additions to the team will be Callie Almli and [player_tooltip player_id='985984' first='Logan' last='Girias'], both coming over from Tahoma. Girias is a top 2028 player in the state and can shoot it lights out from deep.

Mount Vernon - Record Last Year: 14-8 - Did not make state

Mount Vernon plays in the tough NWC but they will be ready to compete against the best in the entire state. Anaya Saldivar-Slater will be back and is one of the top players in her class. She's a D1 level prospect who scores from all 3 levels and makes a big impact on the court. Jaida Duodu is another player on the squad who will be one to watch.
