2025 Anthony Wayne Northwest Christmas Showdown Standouts -Part 2

Prep Girls Hoops was honored to attend and cover Day 2 of the Northwest Christmas Showdown at Anthony Wayne High School. Day 2 of the event featured five marquee matchups including top programs from across Northwest, Northeast, and Central Ohio in the showcase. Here is our second list of standout players from the second day of the event!!    Nylah Mason has the complete game offensively! She is an aggressive offensive star who looks to attack the defense from deep with her pure three-pointer! She can also put the ball on the floor, looking to score at the basket. Nylah has a very mature game for a sophomore. She is also a phenomenal ball handler and distributor offensively, setting up her teammates with timely passes. Nylah can take over a game offensively with her aggressive attitude and tenacious inside out game! Don't let her get open from deep because she's a knockdown!     The junior who can do it all! At 5'10", she is a sniper from distance and can score with ease with her elite skills and footwork in the paint. Tatiana is completely capable of having the offense run through her elite overall game! Defensively, she works harder than anyone! The pressure she puts on the opponent forces pickups and makes it very difficult for them to score in the low post. She also attack the offensive glass very hard battling for putbacks on each play! Her best play of the game was when she got a transition steal and converted a layup through contact!     Brown has a very skilled offensive game! She is a strong senior forward who plays with an elite motor that is hard to match. Brown is capable of finishing in the low post with either hand. Her biggest play in the game came when she rejected a shot off a huge block, using her elite anticipation and defensive skills to reject the shot! Offensively, she converted a layup through contact while drawing a foul. Brown also showed she is a capable free throw shooter!     Brenneman is a very talented 5'9" junior with a complete offensive game! She is a very highly competitive guard who gives it her all and battles hard on both ends. Brenneman displayed her pure form from deep making a three-point basket! The multi-faceted guard also shows she can convert at the rim through contact. Brenneman is a sniper from deep and can be relied upon to make big timely threes! Defensively, she is a pressure defender who can force pickups. Brenneman gets it done on both ends for her team!     Armstead can impact the game in multiple ways for her team! She has the ability to create her own shot converting at the basket off the dribble. Armstead loves to attack the defense seeking contact on her drives! Armstead also showed she has a pure three-point stroke, being able to knock down her shots when she is open. A high-level competitor who doesn't take a plays off, she is definitely someone you want on your team when the game is on the line!     [player_tooltip player_id='538056' first='Leah' last='Pike'] is a unique and special prospect to witness on both ends of the floor! Her measurements immediately make you think she's a post until she handles the ball offensively, displaying elite skills for her size! Pike can convert at the rim through contact and completely carry her team offensively. Defensively, she makes for difficult matchups with her size and length. She was able to shine with her shot from deep, hitting a three-pointer in the game as well. There are not many answers for her defensively due to her complete offensively game. The sisters Leah and Mallory play very well off each other and have elite chemistry offensively!     [player_tooltip player_id='538057' first='Mallory' last='Pike'] is the other Pike sister who also has a complete offensive game! She is very versatile and able to attack in multiple ways in transition. Mallory demonstrated her versatility rising and hitting a three-pointer in transition off the bounce! How do you stop her? In the paint, she is able to use her footwork to finish with strength, using the glass on her layups. The only opinion the defense has when facing her is to hope she gives up the ball! Mallory and Leah are both very fun and electric players to watch play on both ends of the floor with their elite offensive games and chemistry!     Voltz is a very quick and skilled junior guard. She is more than capable of handling the ball offensively, setting up her teammates to score. Voltz fights hard on the offensive glass, going after misses and converting them through contact. Defensively, she is very active and makes smart reads knowing when to go for steals! Voltz is capable of picking up her matchup at full court and forcing picks with her elite pressure! Her energy she plays with on both ends of the floor is hard to match as she makes opponents think twice when attacking her offensively.     Latson is a very physically imposing forward who plays with a great deal of intensity on both ends of the floor! Her motor never stops as she looks to take on and guard the other team's best player. She is an elite shot blocker and tenacious post defender who doesn't let anything go past her easily. Her activity in the gaps make it very difficult for the opposition to pass the ball around as she is very capable of forcing steals and converting at the other end. Latson also is a standout offensively with her footwork and shooting skills when she goes to convert around the basket. Very little can stop her from converting in transition when she has made up her mind to score!
