Back in September I started a series covering some of the best players that I watched at The Expo in Appleton. In part 3 I wanted to check in to see how some of them are doing just after the quarter pole of the season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1232213' first='Peyton' last='Cochenet']---Mukwonago

The 6-1 Cochenet is turning heads, to start her sophomore season, putting up 15.4 points and 7.5 rebounds per game while shooting 53.7% from the floor and showcasing the skillset that I saw at The Expo where she dominated both inside and on the perimeter. A match-up problem, whenever she's on the floor, Cochenet has given the Indians a viable number two scorer behind 6-4 senior [player_tooltip player_id='652141' first='Rachael' last='Chilicki'] and has helped lead Mukwonago to a 5-3 start while playing lockdown defense on the opposing team's best player.

[player_tooltip player_id='992492' first='Ellie' last='Pudelko']---Wauwatosa East

The 5-11 sophomore has carved out a nice niche, with the 9-0 Red Raiders, coming up huge in Saturday's 58-42 win against #2 Pewaukee where Pudelko scored a season high 16 points and has showcased a nice ability to score at all three levels. Efficiency has been her mantra shooting 53% from the floor, 36% from three, and 75% from the free-throw line and has been a force, not only on the block, but from 15 feet and out. One of The Expo's better rebounders, Pudelko has been solid at just under five boards a game.

[player_tooltip player_id='1229361' first='Madi' last='Davel']---Neillsville

No team is playing as well in D4 as the Warriors and a big reason for that is the play of the 5-8 Davel. The junior is off to a fantastic start putting up 19 points, 5 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and almost 4.5 steals per game and has helped lead Neillsville to an 8-0 start. Her scoring numbers, while impressive, are even more so when you figure that, being a great defender, she is tasked with guarding the other team's best player nightly.

[player_tooltip player_id='1174747' first='Milan' last='Fullerton']---Lake Mills

One of the smarter players that I watched, at The Expo, Fullerton's strong summer has translated to the start of her junior season averaging 18.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1.2 assists, and 2.4 steals per game in leading the L-Cats to a 7-2 start. The 5-7 Fullerton shows superb body control and knows how to read angles, not only for pinpoint entry passes but also showcasing her ability to be in the correct spot for the catch-and-shoot jumper or to blow by defenders if they close out too aggressively.
