[player_tooltip player_id='1500622' first='Lila' last='Brennemann'] and Hyannis High School recorded their first win of the season last Thursday when they handled businesses against the Hemingford Bobcats, 54-41. In this battle there were 3-4 prospects for Hyannis that stood out as top producers but someone that caught my eye specifically was Brennemann in the middle of her team's systems. Brennemann ended the contest with an impressive stat line of 17 points on 7-12 shooting, 10 rebounds, 5 assists, & 5 steals. This was the most complete stat line from anyone individually in this game. Brennemann takes the floor at 6'0 and she moves well with her size. She has solid footwork, good balance, and noteworthy coordination to pair, which makes her a tough guard for most others. If Brennemann continues to build on her weaknesses over-time, this should be someone that we hear more and more about over the next few years.

O'Neill High School opened their season with a convincing win while putting up several points (81) in the outing. Their leader in scoring production being Junior SG - [player_tooltip player_id='865311' first='Hannah' last='Hilker']. Hilker is the player for this team that is going to get the majority of the shots this Winter from the looks of it. She finished things up while scoring 31 in this one specifically, demonstrating that she can make a bucket in any instance from any offensive level. Hilker also was rebounding and defending at a steady rate as well. O'Neill is going to be a team that wins a lot of games this Winter and whenever they do that, I'm sure Hilker will have a hand in it.

Scottsbluff High School has picked up right where they left off from last season. They currently sit at a 2-0 record, dominating their first two matchups of the year so far. Their leader and Concordia WBB commit, [player_tooltip player_id='964973' first='Ava' last='Reed'], has looked top notch in these outings, which is really promising for the Scottsbluff fan base. Most recently, Reed helped lead the Bearcats to victory on Saturday against Norfolk, 61-44. She contributed 18 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, and a couple of steals. We have said it for years now, Reed can do most things asked of her on the hardwood. She can be your PG running the offense, she can move to the SG spot and score at a higher rate than most, or she can move to the 3/4 - where she can use her length and size to her advantage near the bucket. All in all, Concordia got a steal in Reed. She is going to be able to make contributions right away if she plays confidently once she gets on campus. She is that solid as a recruit and she is proving that to start this Winter season.

Prior to this high school season we have hyped up [player_tooltip player_id='1221233' first='Kinley' last='Ford'] as being the front runner for the #1 spot out of the 2029 Class in Nebraska so I'm glad that she is already proving us right to begin her high school career. In Alma's first two contests of the Winter, Ford is averaging 22 PPG on over 50% shooting. Ford is also showing up in the Steals and Assisting departments, recording several of each so far. These performances are only going to get better with time and experience on the Varsity floor. The more Ford plays, the slower things will become and the easier things will be. This is a player that has taken a few D1 P4 visits before ever taking the high school court so I expect that interest to continue to grow as we move forward.

[player_tooltip player_id='1500644' first='Kenna' last='Oligmueller'] is an undersizes SF at 5'8 but she makes up for that lack of height with tenacity, heart, calculated strategy, and a willingness to sacrifice for her teammates in any given circumstance. Wynot High School does a good job in their offense of moving the ball around the outside so that Oligmueller can work around the paint in the middle to look for open opportunities. When you you give her adequate time and space on the blocks, she has crafty moves that usually allow her to get a clean shot attempt up in one way or another. Oligmueller has been nails this Winter for her Senior season. I'm sure her opportunities will continues as long as she continues to convert at such a thorough rate. She is currently putting up 14.5 PPG and I don't see that slowing down anytime soon.
