“We know there are some that we still have to work on, but it's a good start,” Glassboro Coach Monte Willis said. “She's great. She's a really hard worker. I'm not surprised that she had a good game to start. I believe she's going to have a big season. It's going to take all of us in order to reach the goals we want to reach.”

The Bulldogs (1-0) took an 18-11 lead into intermission behind Brackett's 10 points. They took a six-point lead into the final quarter when Brackett scored 10 points in the final eight minutes to put the game away.

“I expected them to be a little faster with the ball and to move the ball around more, but I feel like our team shut it down well,” Brackett said. “We did a good job, we prepared for this.”

Only a junior, Brackett is now just 165 points away from reaching the 1,000 career points milestone, and it shouldn't take much longer for her to reach it.

“I keep working in the gym on my layups, that's all I do,” she said. “I'm only getting better. 1,000 points is a great milestone. I can't wait to have my name up on that wall.”
