High School Game Notes: Middle College at University High

It was standing room only in the University High gym. Kalina can get up a lot of shots. She can knock down the deep 3. She likes the floater shot. Her quickness gets her to the basket fast. In this game, she got to the basket a couple of times off a set play for her to rip and attack. She also has quick hands and anticipation skills. I have her down for 15 points and 3 steals, unofficially. She didn't look to score a lot. However, she scored with a floater and a pull up jumper. What she can also do is defend. She had the task of defending a quick guard tonight. She showed that she is more than capable of containing a quick guard. Her feet are quick and her hands are also quick, sticky&nbsp; and able to get the ball while defending. I've mentioned before Gabby's ability to seal in the post to score. She gets defensive attention because of that. She is good at keeping an even temperament when teams are physical with her. I've never seen a player smile during the game as much as Khalia does. She can fall on the court and she will get up smiling. Two things&nbsp; impressed me about Khalia in this game: 1) She is the best entry passer on the team. She had 3 assists passing the ball into the paint. 2) She kept playing no matter what the score was.&nbsp; She can play point or shooting guard with 3 point shooting range.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
