Mid-State Ballers Turning Up The Heat

From a collegiate perspective, we have tons of girls who can play at the next level. D1, D2, D3, NAIA, and JUCO levels could all be filled with the talent we have here. The word 'contribution' comes to mind, as we have many girls who contribute in various aspects of the game. They play what I call “complementary” basketball as they can be effective on both ends of the floor.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>During this time of year, we know the season is still young, but girls are revving up and establishing themselves and their program as legitimate contenders. There have been many tough matchups on the books thus far, but everyone is still carving out their identity. It's still too early, but no team that I have seen has peaked yet.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Throughout the midstate, I have seen many girls who have played complementary basketball early this season. She dropped 17 points in her team's win over FCA. She's a kid who is going to fight tooth and nail for her opportunity. She is going to rebound, hunt great shots, and play solid defensively. She posted a double-double as she netted 21 points while grabbing 10 boards. Her play sparked a late-game run and ultimately led her club to a victory. She is a solid ballplayer who is making a name for herself as a district player nominee. She is a feisty and fierce competitor who loves to create chaos. She can score it from multiple spots on the floor, but it's her defense that stands out and ignites a tough Summertown attack. She's a hustler who loves to get her hands on the ball. Steal, deflection, making hustle plays, that's what her game is all about. Dropped 23 in her team's win Tuesday night. She finished the game with 20 points, dropping six three-pointers from the arc. She was feeling it, and she couldn't be slowed down. Her play led to an upset win over Franklin. To go along with her ability to scorch the nets, she finished the contest with five steals, elevating her ball club along the way. Nyla is a sensational player who leaves everything she has on the floor.
