Knights Defeat Hawks: 804 Coaches for Community Matchup

The community turned out for jam-packed action featuring outstanding talent from previous top performers, including standout teams from Deep Run, John Marshall, and Hanover, among others. "804 Coaches for Change Community Classic"   The next contest featured fast-paced, up-and-down action with man-to-man pressure and defensive intensity ramping up throughout. The Knights controlled the game from the opening tip, proving too much for the Hawks to handle. Still, both teams displayed promise and skill on the floor. Let's take a look at our Standouts:    The complete package is there for Epps. She commands the offense, serves as her team's anchor, and demonstrates elite court vision—especially in transition where she knows every teammate's location. She reads the floor on both ends, anticipates opportunities instinctively, and plays with infectious urgency. Epps is a lead guard with serious next-level potential.     Johnson is relentless at the point of attack, driving downhill against any defender in her path. She knocks down free throws with consistency and fearlessly attacks the teeth of the defense to create plays. Her ability to push tempo and lead sets her apart. Come crunch time later this season, Johnson will be the X-factor—capable of delivering the separation needed to beat elite competition when everything's on the line.     Webster excels at working through her reads while running the point. Offensively, she penetrates the lane and makes the right play—whether kicking out to shooters on the wing or rewarding her bigs for being in position. Defensively, she takes pride in her effort, hustling as a help-side defender. Her coach-ability and leadership stand out both on and off the court, where she maintains a 3.8-3.9 GPA according to her long time developmental coach.     She carries herself like a next-level player with a smooth, polished game. The junior guard gets to the free-throw line consistently and finds her spots with precision. As the leading scorer, she's a constant threat whenever she touches the ball or attacks from the baseline.     Lucy is transferring her size, heart, toughness, and athleticism from the softball field to the basketball court in her freshman varsity campaign with the Hanover Hawks. Despite being new to the game, this raw talent doesn't play with typical freshman timidity.
