Janey is the prototype wing that teams look for at the next level. Janey's speed in the open court was something that really impressed me. Janey is a fantastic spot-up shooter, and she had a play off the dribble where she rose and hit a mid-range over multiple defenders. She also battled in the paint against a bigger Gainesville team. Osbourn Park continued their dominance over Gainesville, and Janey was the standout player in this one for me.

[player_tooltip player_id='448324' first='Samia' last='Snead']'s energy and effort are something I always take notice of for Osbourn Park. She had a little 5-0 run that helped OP take control of this game, and she had a huge second quarter. She knocked down a few threes, and she had a couple of really tough drives in the quarter as OP pulled away.

Stone Bridge beats rival Briar Woods in a battle of defense.

Stone Bridge beat Briar Woods in the Potomac District title game in a low-scoring battle. The biggest factor in this game for me was what Stone Bridge was able to do against a smaller Briar Woods team. Ava Ryan was outstanding in the paint for Stone Bridge, and she did an excellent job finishing through contact. Her athleticism and work rate gave a lot of problems for Briar Woods, and she finished with 14 points and 7 rebounds.

[player_tooltip player_id='859625' first='Sheila' last='Suarez'] had a solid game for Stone Bridge on both ends. Sheila did a good job handling the ball and making the right decisions. She hit a few second-quarter threes that helped a Stone Bridge offense that was kind of stuck in the mud up to that point. She ended with 12 points and 7 rebounds.

Clarke County blows out Strasburg

Clarke County's offense was humming in the first-quarter in their win over Strasburg. [player_tooltip player_id='409781' first='Alainah' last='Mckavish'] had a really big quarter, getting to the rim and finishing through contact multiple times and knocking down a spot-up three. Alainah is such a fluid athlete for her size, and she glided by defenders effortlessly to get easy shots at the rim. She lived at the line and had a big game in a Clarke County win.

Similar to her sister, Paige's size and athleticism played a huge factor. Paige did well driving the ball, and she showed some fantastic vision. She had a handful of tough offensive rebounds, and I loved when she pushed off of misses.

[player_tooltip player_id='1307156' first='Emily' last='Gorrell'] was really good for Strasburg in the first half. I loved what she did getting the rim, and she knocked down a long three early. Emily has good speed and excels in a variety of areas. She is a good ball handler with a nice feel for the game as well.
